After dozens of attempts, I finally managed to beat the Jotunheim map on hard difficulty against 3 players. It was difficult as hell. I also need bit of luck to succeed.
I call this "The map to whomsoever controls the pass wins." I still prefer AoM's music and Sound clarity over the newly released AoE 4. AoE 4's music and Sound clarity and the different sounds that units and Buildings make are sometimes weak and indistinguishable to one another. I'm the type of Age player who relies on sounds when playing.
the settlement in the middle is a reason why this one is seen as unfair and pros dont really play it, distance siege, underworld passage and flying units and transport have an upper hand in this map. It is a shame, since jot is a lot o fun for defensive players
I never understood why 'pros' don't like defensive maps in strategy games. These kind of games are Real Time Strategy, not festivals of actions per minute to see who can rush the fastest Sure, rushing is a legitimate strategy, but it's not the only one...
@@unocualqu1era I guess strategy that's slow is just considered a new person's way of playing, cause they're getting used to the game and would try and mount defense constantly and be slower. The issue I have with beating A.I is I have difficulty rushing, and I've noticed the A.I are always the difficulty given the very best you allow. That's not a bad thing per say.. but I have yet to just figure it out.
no, this map spawns hunt in the pass between the mountains. each team is sorrounded and here there were two teams with one pass only, so the patches of four players were located ther The crucial point of this one, jottunheim it is calld, is to see who can snatch the animals of all the players or most of them it is a bold decission but whoevr manages to place a base in the midle first normaly wins because there is usually a settlement right in that place
pick jotunenheim and hope it is shaped in this way :D the map always considers the teams so depending on palyernumber and teams the map is shaped in certain ways
I have done it in moderate in my teens, struck in quarantine i have started it again, this time in HARD. And now I'm struck at "Isis, hear my plea" level. Might use, " Pandoras Box" later. 🤫
Why do you farm way to early? There is heaps of deers to hunt lol 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ also should put 10 on a temple to gain favor and rush with centaurs 🤷♂️🤷♂️
