I played the shit out of Dawn of War and Age of Mythology back in the day.

Ok I'm 14 and this is nostalgic for me this was my favourite game when I was really young until it stopped working on newer computer

Ain't as old as you guys but this is such a throwback for me, as well as the titan expansion and AoE3. Loved the campaigns and the good'ol sandbox games

People played Halo Wars. It wasn't a bad game, it just wasn't what console gamers were used to, and a console rts is always going to be limited by the control scheme of a gamepad.

Age of Empires I, II, III and Mythology were my shit as a kid. I made custom levels, largest possible flat map and in the corner give me a very civilisation. 1 villager, 1 vault of plenty (or max resources assigned on non-myth) , one town hall. And in the rest of the map, absolutely jock full of nothing but an enemy. Be it a god or just some random myth unit, they weren't something you beat until you ran literally hundreds of full size armies into them, and it was so satisying. I even did sea maps too and I think I preferred them tbh, ship warfare was fun against myth units like krakens, etc, when their special is to literally one-shot your ship and there's thousands of them. Also, since it was mentioned in the comments you mentioned it Halo Wars was my jam later too. Loved that game, but sadly the online wasn't great.

Egypt is great imo. Got a steady rate of favor, some cool myth creatures/powers, Pharoahs are insane. Wonder why Trott was so upset about that

awh shit, if you get Battle For Middle Earth working please tell us how you did it, there has been MASSIVE issues with getting it to work on Windows 10

O I so love this game. I played it for ages. I love the strategy kind of games. But I am mostly a defending gamer that walls him self in and first builds up massively with big armies and lot's of defensive structures. (towers/forts)
