Age of Sigmar Lore: Clans Verminus 

I just love stormvermin, they are so intimidating and badass, their halberds are awesome, the armor so crude, just love it!

These Verminlords are dramatic, theatrical, and have a sense of flair you say? That's it, I'm making a JoJo Rat.

This is my favorite of the Clans. Stormvermin and Clanrats supported by Skryre weapons is the pinnacle of Skavendom. It’s not Skaven without them. It’s a big shame that they renamed them to Verminus, I thought Clan Mors was a really strong name.

Now this is my favourite clan. If I were to build a skaven army it’d be little else but Verminus, Stormfiends and verminlords. Y’know, once I muster enough patience to paint 300 rats.

I was kinda expecting the end of the clawlord bit to be like "they know how to play this game of thrones", since Skaven politics sounds a lot like westeros except everyone is basically Littlefinger just doped up to eleven (or thirteen, since we're talking Skavens).

I like to imagine that the inferiority complex of the Horned Rat plays into every aspect of its existence. It’s multifaceted nature is embodied in the Skaven Clans, but it constantly sets them against one another through the Shadow Council. It has all these aspects of itself and cannot decide what truly defines its identity, so it has to set its proxy Clans against one another to determine a “victor,” a true representation of what you really are. Imagine having these aspects constantly at war with one another as part of your existence because of how unsure you are of yourself. Despite this, you finally reach a point where you can ascend to the Chaos pantheon. But even that feat is practically ignored by the Chaos Gods. They can’t take you seriously at all. How does that drive your ambition? Your self-loathing? How much is it amplified? How could it be that the success and recognition of ascension to a new pantheon only drives your hatred further inward? How much more does your success drive you to self-destruction because it’s never good enough? Ironically for all its facets, whether it’s corruption and disease or the endless swarm or the deception or the cleverness, the element that seems to define the Horned Rat the most among all its facets is that inferiority complex. An element that has no Great Clan or Verminlord aspect because, ironically enough, it’s the only universal glue that binds this rat-king of a God together. It’s pretty great.

Our favorite pet-thing is see-known as Qiek headtaker! Yes-yes (Just dont tell-chitter thanqoul of it, he may cry-plot again)

what happened to clan mors? I thought they were the big militant clan?

I miss skavenslaves. They were better than clanrats in a lot of ways. Want a horde of expendable units to drown the opposing army in a sea of bodies? Skavenslaves.

I want queek back!

In the old world, Nagash and the Skaven fought to a standstill for im pretty sure a century until they made a truce so Nagash can get some warpstone that the Skaven mine. In AoS, id reckon itd be the same (although if Nagash builds another pyramid the skaven will always be there to stop him)

I really love Head taker Queek, I was thinking sense he was at such a high rank that he would have children and they might be big and brave like him and might carry the gene to talk to skulls like their father. So this can become a unit it self in clan verminus. I posted this on aother video. not the main focus on this post. (I feel like the rat swarm should be in Clans Verminus instead in Clan Moulder. Sense they are normal rats. It also has been said that rats just join into the army when skaven go to war. Also sense they are a "swarm" unit it would make sense.)

Great video Doug, Skaven have huge numbers that can outnumber the Morgoth's orcs from Tolkien's middle earth, For the Horned Rat!! And the Skaven act like the orcs of Tolkien's middle earth

Hmmm, well as for my favorite verminus unit... that's a damn hard choice between clawlord and stormvermin. I'm leaning more towards stormvermin cuz the thought of a elite rat boi unit with the same cowardice tendencies as clan rats tickles me, but I guess the same can go for the clawlord huh? Great video ma dude!

The Stormvermin the ones who take the fight to the enemy and can win without having to simply outnumber them but can also match most elite troops blow for blow.

Okay so like every single picture of skaven their mouths are open. Just like every time you see a picture of a genestealer or any tyranid monster their tongue is hanging out. I think that's not that cool. It's kind of funny actually.

I honestly don’t like the name ‘Clawlord’, I like the old ‘Warlord’ title cooler, it has a certain gravitas and weight to the title.
