I will always consider this masterpiece fucking canon, as well as the other shows. Idgaf what anyone says. Quake should've been in IW & EG. Or in Black Widow.
I mean now with the multiverse we can just say this is an alternate universe, where for example thanos was defeated by thor (given that the snap didnt happen in aos but they say thanos is on earth in s5)
It's not entirely non canon, it's that at the end of season 4 they start dealing with time travel and multiverse shit and they end up in a different time line than the mcu one. But throughout the series there's always a little reference to where they're at with the movies going from the battle of new york to civil war. Avoiding this show for so many years is a decision I've come to regret and yes it feels a little cw-ish during the first half of season 1 but that show is really one of the few where the quality holds up through it's entire run.
Indeed. If I remember correctly it was due to the fact of how much of a secret the POST SNAP world would look that the writers did not get any hints that they could tie into the show. Therefore it slipped away from the MCU.
Never announce by marvel that it is not canon. Fans are the ones saying it is not canon. Coulson could not be in infinity war because he was fighting graviton and he was dead by endgame. Only his lmd (a sentient robot) is around
just rewatched this reaction god i hope you’ll watch this show at some point because your reactions are top tier and this show always makes sense and there are literally zero plot holes. this show’s attention to detail in writing is crazy and everything just makes sense and it’s all connected 😭 and you’re a smart reactor so i feel like this show would be so ENTERTAINING for you. i honestly could go on and on and on at any cancellation if you know the blind wave, they appreciate this show so much and out of ALL the shows they have seen this stands out as their favorite

I think it's canon up to like season 3 or 4 and then the show stopped following the movies so much and started doing their own thing and it made the show better. Because before when a big movie came out AoS had to adapt to what happened in the movie. So much so that the real plot of the show doesn't start until over half way though season 1 because it had to wait for the Winter Soldier to come out. When this show ignored big movie plot points to focus on their own ideas the show was at it's peak. I guess this is a spoiler, but this show ignored the Snap all together. So I think that is why it is not canon, not because creators don't like it.

By the way, that moment the mentioned about dropping the whiskey - it's honestly such a good moment. A virtual world collapsing, and it's creator, unable to leave, is the last person left. He's in the middle of a poetic sentence, with only world left, and you see the glass he was holding drop. He's gone forever. Agents of SHIELD is full of amazing and emotional moments, I DEFINITELY recommend it.
This ghost rider isn't the Nick Cage one(Johnny Blaze), you get the story when you see it. But its another ghost rider from the comics, Robbie Reyes :D There are 5 different ghost riders :D

Weather or not AOS is cannon it is absolutely amazing as a show on it's own better than all the other marvel shows in terms of graphics acting and story lines
