I've noticed that they don't like being re-potted I had one die from it. 😭 But I will say that if they are super root bound they don't mind it. But it seems like you have to let them get to that point or they just die off. 🤔🤷‍♀️ and I've also had issue with letting them get dry for too long and then when I water it, a few leaves die off.

KG, i use coffee filters in the bottom of my pots to cover the drainage holes, and you get a ton of them at the dollar store; just in case you run out of your mesh, this could be a backup, just a suggestion,

You are adorable. You smile the whole time you're speaking. I thought I was doing something with my Red Aglaonemas (RA) and you have a whole entourage! I started plant hobby as a quarantine hobby. RAs have done well except fungus gnats!! I live in ATL which is supposed to be 7B too. I'm actually testing 2 smaller ones in semi hydroponics. They're doing great. Just an easy plant.

Lady, you've got me hooked on Aglaonemas. Now every time I go into a nursery I look for pink varieties. Today I was in Home Depot and found a Siam Aurora and I am so excited. Of course, I came home and tuned into your channel to learn how to take care of her. I still look for the pink ones but for now, I'll settle for pink stems. I also have a huge Maria, -- there are about 14 separate stalks in the 12" container -- which I picked up at a nursery and I'm still doing trial and error on lighting because I had her in low light and some of her bottom leaves started to yellow. I look forward to more of your videos and thanks so much for sharing and making the Chinese Evergreen now one of my favorite plants too.
@KreatyveGardenista
@KreatyveGardenista 3 года назад
Yayyyy that is awesome! My goal was to she'd some light on them bc I feel they are so underrated. I have my Maria growing in bright indirect light.. I've found she is one of the green varieties that likes brighter light (I kno, completely contradicts what I said in the video) but her stems are more "Cane" like than the other green varieties I was referring to that can take lower light. I would suggest moving her to a brighter spot & also back off on watering.. I only water my Maria once a month in a ceramic pot😉💚

I have the exact one on your picture about the fungus and I think mine has that also. I thought it was just from over watering at the store... I bought it from Lowe's. I cut off all the bad leaves when I got it home and had about 2 or 3 more to go bad after that. I haven't watered yet since bringing it home. I'll definitely give the peroxide a try.

Great video. I have about 10 ags and I adore them. The green varieties really can handle low light. I recently lost three that I've had for a year or so. I was surprised they went. Well two of them have one leaf left and the other is just roots, but am still hoping. Interestingly the victims are all light/pink. I will try them in higher light and see if anything happens. Haven't got much to lose. I also let them dry out completely, which is perhaps an error. Heard that it was not good to overwater, but maybe I went too far the other way. I don't cut the spathes either. Am in a different country from you, so the names may differ, but my two favourites are painted princess and silver queen.

I stumbled across your channel last week and I was so excited I went out and bought my first Aglaonema! I believe it's either a Pink Valentine or Pink Passion, but I'm not sure? It is very small and I think it needs repotting? I'm new to this so I am looking for advice! I do seem to have a nat issue now as well? What do you suggest as far a potting soil to purchase and what to do about the nats?
