Agnetha always has been my weakness. It makes me happy to see her again socializing,and enjoying with friends. I hope she continues to do so and that it is not something temporary.

One music legend attending the premiere of another - I love it! What an absolut shame we never got that duet, I imagine it would have been perfect! But fortunately, we did get her beautiful version of "What now, my love"! Thank you for pointing out all those cross connections to Elvis that our four heroes have, BB! I knew about the enormous influence The Beatles had on Björn and Benny, but I didn't know that Elvis' influence on them was just as big! And the fact that Frida was inspired by him as well and recorded one of his songs in Swedish is so cool! I LOVED seeing Agnetha out and about so soon again, apparently having a really good time, her face was glowing in those picures! Also, I'd like to acknowledge how beautiful and cool she looked in that outfit! The white blouse with the sunglasses and the belt, the black trousers and her cream leather boots - perfect for the occasion, I thought! And I loved seeing that she grew her hair longer! So looking forward to watching the movie this summer! "It's gotta be Rock'n Roll to fill the hole in your soul!"
She is more juicy now rather similar way she was in 1980/81.But despite her age you can easily say she hasn't lost her charms.She ages normally and in a common,decent way.That shiny smile is always there and always rings a bell in my mind.Thank you for making a reference to the Olivia show.They really did an Elvis lil tribute(Livy on the lead and Benny on keys) and right after it they joined vocal forces singing an early BeeGees song "Holiday" together with Andy.The harmonies in the chorus were exquisite!i didn't know Agnetha liked Elvis.I do remember reading in 1981 in a book called "Abba in their own words" she liked a lot Bobby Vinton('Mr.Lonely' was mentioned by her as one of her faves).Also in a 2013 radio interview she confessed how much she liked and admired Karen Carpenter and that she remember the time they once met for a while in 1978 during a German TV show.Also very nice Frida photos in your new video..You're damned good.You keep bringing in my mind things I knew about Abba but ..hats off to you man,cause I also still learn from you new things about Abba!(and I thought i knew everything)Oh and you are heading for a 10,000 well deserved subscribers btw.

Ah, beautiful Agnetha. She will always be something of an enigma to us. We can't help but be happy seeing her in public looking confident and relaxed. When she stepped out of the taxi at the Voyage premiere she momentarily looked terrified but she seemed to relax once she began the interviews. Perhaps something has changed for her? Whatever the case, the whole ABBA Voyage experience looks and feels like a resounding success. ABBA have a happy ending and may even grace us with a little more music? It seemed that Agnetha and Frida went into hidding in that time Voyage was made and also after it’s been released. Until the openingnight of Voyage. It’s so great and totally unexpected to see her in public again so shortly after London. She looks so great and happy! A different woman like 20 years ago! What a transformation!

How lovely.They are adorable,they were once young little dudes full of dreams and ambitions like us!That's one of my fave photos from them.Benny + Bjorn must be around 17/18 years of age here?I 've also seen Benny near that age holding his kids.I know he became a very young father.As for Agnetha i think she was always feeling more safe and free in Sweden.All 4 did.I remember them saying back in the '70s that things with Abba fans weren't that hysteric in their home country.They enjoyed more privacy cause of people's different culture.I bet she got really affected by the overwhelming approval they all got from the VOYAGE era and esp from the rapturous response they got in the Voyage gig premier.A sacred meeting we fans had been wishing for years to happen.OUR meeting.ABBA and us.Our most beloved long lost friends from our childhood.Gosh! how much,many of us needed this.

A good sign that she is more comfortable being in the public eye again. Maybe that’s another piece of the puzzle that ABBA will continue to ‘Voyage’ with another album, if we’re lucky. Come on, Frida and Agnetha, twist Benny’s arm!
What's really funny is that exactly that almost literally happened in the Voyage premiere. Look for the "They want more" moment in the ABBA moments channel, she begged Benny while warmly saying that and got to his arm.

I'm pleased for her. Now this is off-topic and you may have covered it already in your vlogs Bobby but I've been noting the number of songs in which Agnetha and Frida sing "aha" or close variations. For this Englishman it is very charming, a kind of knowing 'wink' and an Abba signature - hardly noticed any other band doing it (Slade on Merry Xmas Everybody being an exception). The songs are: Angel Eyes Voulez Vous Money Money Money Knowing Me, Knowing You Honey Honey So Long (ah ha ha) Summer Night City (ah-ah) Hole in Your Soul You Owe Me One Hey Hey Helen These are all from official lyrics and not just my subjective hearing. It was really nice to hear them harmonise it again on Just a Notion (ah ha ha) on their last album. Can anyone think of any more? Some claims have been made for the aaahhs on Arrival but I think that is stretching it! Look forward to your detailed observations of the Voyage concert.
Olivia Newton John, she is another great entertainer, her music is wonderful, she is Frida’s friend, that was amazing she and Agnetha and Frida were on the same show.
Thanks for this new video, showing Agnetha happy, smiling in public. ABBA Voyage technology could make her dream come true. Singing in duet with Elvis Presley. Why not with one Elvis sosie (or other man) for his body moving? And Elvis true face and voice, of course. I don't know if Elvis family and business would accept. Lisa-Mary already "sang in duet" with her father. I'm sure all over the world fans would love Agnetha does too.
One of these days you should explore the relationship between Abba and Led Zeppelin. As you know, Led Zeppelin recorded their final album in polar studios. Not a lot has been said about Bjorn and Benny and their friendship with Jimmy page and Robert Plant.
Speaking of bio pictures I am wondering why Abba never had a bio pic made of them, as they had such an intriguing music story and Love stories, and you can even add Led Zeppelin into their story. It would be a fascinating bio picture
Steve Binder (who produced the legendary Elvis, Singer Special for NBC in 1968) produced the Olivia newton John tv special with ABBA as guest stars in 1978 referred to in your clip. In fact Steve staged the sit down portion of the show to mimic the famous unplugged section of his Elvis TV special. Abba also played Las Vegas on a US tour. The name Elvis has Norse origins, deriving from Alvis meaning 'all wise'. Elvis had many associations with Swedes and other Scandanavians including Ann Margret, Pete Hallin etc
And I was always fascinated by that connection of Steve Binder having produced both the Elvis AND ABBA special! Of course I completely forgot about it now that I'm doing this video. THANKS for the reminder, and many thanks for all the other insights!
One wonders what conversations/confessions were exchanged between Agnetha and Bjorn in the run up to and following their Voyage album. It seems to have had a cathartic effect on her. And lo and behold, Bjorn separated from his second wife recently, perhaps as a sub-liminal atonement for having broken Agnetha's heart in the late 1970s. Agnetha never seemed to have recovered from that heartbreak ... until recently!!
I thought they had always kept in touch given that they'd had children together? On the breaking of hearts issue, I thought it was the case that they simply grew apart during the late 70's? I mean, do we really know their private story.. and should we? Don't know. Thinking back to the 70's, Bjorn and Agnetha seemed like the perfect couple. Agnetha, There's got to be more to it?
@@toby9999 That's not what I figured after much reading. Bjorn called Agnetha's bluff when she suggested separating due to his insistence on touring and her on spending more time raising their kids. Keeping in touch all these years, yes. But that is not the same as opening your heart. Bjorn got wiser and perhaps deep in his heart knew that he shouldn't have called Agnetha's bluff and walked out. It totally destroyed her personal life. Perhaps all these decades of reflection must have made him truly remorseful and the making of their latest album provided him an opportunity to realize the magnitude of his blunder, while also rekindling his softness for her. Bjorn is a reflective person .. as his songs illustrate.

Agnetha and Elvis are my two all-time favourite recording artists. It is possible that the 1965 Elvis movie track "Shake That Tambourine" may well have partly inspired the lyrics to "Dancing Queen". Interestingly, ABBA namechecked several Elvis hits in their songs, including "Patch It Up" ["Chiquitita"] and "Love Me Tender", "Return to Sender" and "Surrender" ["Bang-A-Boomerang"]. That's interesting that they were inspired by Elvis Presley I wouldn't have thought that...bc Elvis did a different kind of music than they did, but Elvis inspired a lot of artist in the music Industry he open the door to many wanna be singers and rock and roll groups🙂

Elvis sang "Solitaire" by Neil Sedaka, who has also co-credits to the english version of "Ring Ring". I think that was the only time somebody had co-credits to any ABBA song besides ABBA themselves and Stig Anderson.
