Purdy is the perfect definition of a good quarterback who you should be willing to trade for someone better. If you had Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen on the 49ers with Shanahan they would probably be undefeated and score 60 per game.

It’s more that Meyer was so clueless about pro football that he didn’t know who Aaron Donald was and he was such a bad leader that he regularly used physical assault in his coaching. Just curious. Does living near Arrowhead Stadium endow you with some unique insight into QB rankings? Lol.😂 Seriously, I agree 100% on Purdy. Guys like Purdy and Russ before him make media, scouts, coaches, and GM’s look dumb. That’s why it takes a long time for them to gain acceptance and receive their due credit. The only person who transcended being overlooked is Brady. Idk why. Purdy is absolutely the truth, and he’s on a Dan Marino trajectory.

I could be wrong but I don’t think the 9ers pick up the phone for a purdy trade. They believe he’s their guy and they know spending multiple first round picks on a QB doesn’t always work. Look at previous drafts how many of the QBs were hits, it’s a very low percentage

I'm he's only 17-4 regular season and 4-2 in playoffs with 2 NFC championship games and a super bowl. As 1 of the most effective QB in 23. All at like a million a year for next 2 seasons. Of course they'd trade for a 4th rounder like Colin wants so bad as well as Nick Wrong

The same oline that's not even top 10 in pass protection by any metric? St brown? The 4th round pick he made relevant and who the gm who drafted him thought the levi had more talent? I'll give you the run gm because it was good last season but the season b4 it wasn't even top 10 and Goff still had a top season. So what other excuses you got as to why he's elite? Tua has a legit top 10 player as his recievers and his #2 is a #1 on most nfl teams. He also has a comparable rb backfield as well but we all saw who Tua was in the playoffs. He couldn't do a damn thing while Goff had a 100 passer rating in 3 gms. Keep trying.

I wouldn’t put Lawrence, Goff and Love in the top 10, I would replace them with theses players in this order Cousin, Purdy and Rodgers, Cousins was playing at a high level before he got hurt last year and Purdy had a great year whether you like him or not and Rodgers is still a top 10 quarterback until proven otherwise 😎

Unpopular opinion. Joe Burrow is living off of a reputation from a play off run three years ago where his defense was lights out and he himself was far from perfect. His play 2 seasons ago was the best he’s put together but to see him get constantly ranked ahead of some guys who have achieved more recently is a little annoying.

It's amazing how people believe A-rod isn't a top 5 QB..He was the MVP in 2020 and 2021 with 85 TD's & 9 INT's That's almost 9/1 Ratio🤯 He lost his best receiver in 2022 Davonte Adams who is a top 5 WR..A-Rod had a average season in 2022 and didn't play last year..I think he will have a 11-6 season 30 TD's 8 INT's & 3700 yards🥱

(Full disclosure my QB is Allen) Anybody else wonder if Burrow is actually elite? I know he’s been to a SB. He’s been hurt a lot tho, and even before he was hurt he wasn’t playing well last season. TLDR he reminds me of Trevor. Other than Mahomes obv, the QB that scares me the most in the playoffs is Lamar cause he’s a lot like Allen in that he can put on a cape and beat you by himself any day

I wonder this too. I think, THINK Joe is a great qb. Better than Allen or Mahomes? No, not even close. Burrow has had too many luxuries throughout his career and the only time he has won in his playoff career is when teams had major meltdowns. The Chiefs in 2021 had the worst game ive ever seen them play, in 2022, the Bills no one showed up outside of Josh Allen who was their leading passer and rusher. The raiders and Titans who lets be honest do we all think are good? No. 5 tds in 7 playoff games is terrible. Especially considering his turnovers in said games. Hes not clutch. Its his defense coming to save the day.

IMO, Burrow is really good but he’s a TAD overrated for one simple reason: He’s the only non-Brady QB to beat Mahomes in a playoff game. He’s also beaten both Mahomes and Allen in road playoff games.

My criteria is can this QB lead you down the field for a game winning TD drive, to go to the Super Bowl. Mahomes, yes, Allen, yes, Herbert yes, Burrow yes, Tua yes, Goff yes, Purdy yes. Next QB criteria With a ton of weapons could this QB lead you to a game winning drive to go to the SuperBowl. Rodgers yes (even though he is mentally ill), Hurts yes, Stroud and Love too early to tell. The rest you are wasting your time thinking you have a QB

Nah. Lawrence belongs in the second group. You’d listen to trade offers for him. Purdy belongs in the first group, and Russ will belong in the first group after this season. Just four years ago, he was the only QB whose team WOULDN’T have pick up the phone if Mahomes was offered in a trade. That’s how far down one hand injury year, one horrible year, and one subpar year have taken him down. The Seahawks would’ve been the only team in the league that would’ve said, “We’re good.” That was before Russ became so unhappy and forced his way out of Seattle. Look at the haul the Seahawks turned down from the Bears in efforts to try to salvage the relationship between Russ and Pete. Lousy Denver experience or not, you can’t make Russ a second-tier dude. Truth be told, the Steelers made a mistake in bringing in Justin Fields because he’s bringing more controversy than value (not his fault). The Steelers wouldn’t listen to an offer for Russ at all right now. They want him!

Omg why is CJ Stroud in this?? He was a rookie last year! And no he did not have the greatest rookie season we have ever seen! At least that I have ever seen. Justin Herbert’s rookie year was better than Strouds. 36 tds for Herbert 26 for Stroud. They both played 15 games when they were rookies. Strouds rookie year was VERY comparable to Baker Mayfields and Mac Joneses.

Herbert and Lawrence vs Dak and Purdy? I’m taking calls on any of them. There might be 2 or 3 untouchable QBs in the league. Geez right now, maybe just two and the second is debatable. Stroud only because of the tremendous upside as a rookie who played darn near an elite level.

James you said to make it to the Super Bowl you gotta be able to rush the passer? I agree. Are you suggesting this team has not been doing that? What exactly do you think these guys have been doing for 3 years? Do you have e to lead the league in sacks and pressures win the Super Bowl? No you don’t. In 2022 the Eagles led the league in sacks. They didn’t win. In 2021 the Cowboys led the league in sacks. They can’t even get there much less win it.

Goff and Love? One is mid af (and the 2nd highest player in NFL history which is seriously laughable) and the other played above average in 8 games and then choked in the playoffs. Why not crown Case Keenum in 2017 then, at least he played well for more than 8 games.
