This song and the mv had me in a chokehold. Not only did Yoongi's acting get MUCH better (and he was already literally a pro), but the entire cinematography backs it up. The song is a banger, no doubt. But the mv is so fascinating. In Daechwita, he killed the blond Agust D because he was too corrupt with anger and resentment. Agust D couldn't take it anymore. But in Haegeum the Agust D scar ended up as corrupted as the blonde Agust D. It's interesting that the new Agust D basically started the mv by killing a person and ending with the memory of it. Agust D is a trilogy because Yoongi was finally able to unite with Suga and Agust D. They are no longer apart because he learned to embrace all of his feelings. In this MV, the new Agust D. is a vigilante and violent villain because that's what Agust D is. But instead of just killing the scarred Agust D, who in this narrative, is a corrupt secret agent, (as happened to the blonde Agust D), he ALSO burned the money scar that Agust D had. My interpretation, which may not be correct. 🤣. Finally, cheers to SUGA for yet another unique work of art.👏❤

He’s killing the sort of high and mighty king/boss versions of himself. In daechwita he says the lyrics “I’m the king, I’m the boss.” But then in Daechwita he kills the king. In Haegeum he kills the (mafia) Boss. Now just Suga/Yoongi his more gritty, down to earth, more raw and real self remains.

If you noticed the bald guy who was calling on the phone at the beginning when Suga and his gang went inside that place is the same guy who tried to drowned him at the last part but it turned out he was actually Suga’s ally. Basically the Head Police (Agust D) had the same fate in every life as the King in Daechwita. Both got betrayed.

Agust D is literally talking about everything that is wrong in the world right now. Since hageum means also liberation of prohibition. He is really asking who's on board for the revolution, for the new world, for the new kingdom and to get on board now. So we can fix everything that is broken. This is a masterpiece. I assumed this as the parallel world of daechwita, just how he killed the tyrant king by team up with the butcher to make everything right again, here he was team up with the guy that drown him at the end of the mv to kill the corrupt police. I say corrupt police bc the moment he stole the money that guy calling the police so maybe it was the place where the police hides his money (notice how after he stole the money he gave a nods to the guy as he leaving) everything just went like how daechwita storyline.. Daechwita and Haegeum feels like lost twins because this feels like a pattern. Yoongi keeps killing off his old self (the king with a scar) when his self reaches the point of greed and corruption once again. He keeps doing it to bring himself back down to the ground so that the humble version of himself lives on instead of the one tainted with greed. He shot the king on Daechwita and shot him once again in Haegeum. That's why he mentioned that he forgave those people who hated them and want only to stay humble. BTS/YOONGI ARE THE MOST SELF-AWARE ARTISTS I'VE EVER KNOWN... like they knew something we don't, they know how dirty the industry works and that's why they don't get swayed so easily. My take is, whoever claimed to be a revolutionary, after tasting the power they will be a tyrant. As in politics. A ‘good’ politician will be the same as others people in power once they sit on the chair. The blonde Agust D, the rebel, becomes a tyranical king and killed by the eye-scar Agust D in Daechwita. The eye-scar then becomes a corrupt police (cmiiw) and then killed by the thief Agust D.
