But without the video leaking, these men would be free and would have never set foot inside a jail cell. They were arrested months after the killing, and only because the video leaked. Without the leak, they would have faced no consequences. That should tell you a lot about justice in America.
We need more like this judge who express neutrality, fairness, calm demeanor, and wisdom. We could use more like him in our Federal Court System as well, all the way up to the Supreme Court.
In a case like this, racial hysteria makes impartial justice impossible. It is outrageous that Black mob rule is allowed and supported, while white self defense is not.
@@charlesgerety1403, Are you actually insinuating that your justice system favors blacks over whites? If there was any truth to that, Rittenhouse would be sitting in prison, not posing for pictures with your former reality tv star President right long side this murdering trio. And, if not for video cam footage, they, as well as Chauvin, would have walked free.
Judge was horrible. He applied his own interpretation to the law instead of interpreting the law as it is. This judge sealed a conviction from the start and came off way too biased
She tied everything to the law, concentrated on the jury and stuck to her plan. Credit for not jumping into the sewer to 'tussle' with the defence attorneys especially Greg McM's attorney in her nasty description of Ahmaud. She had a game plan and used her rebuttal for nothing but sucker-punches.
As a graduating law student… I was so impressed with the Prosecutor’s arguments. She was definitely something to aspire to. The Judge operated with a level of integrity, and impartiality which was great to see.
@Myrtle John Yeah. I think both of them spending all of their days in prison is far harder than them just getting the death penalty. I think they are getting exactly what they deserve for murdering poor Arbery. You reap what you sow.
For All The Karens Out There: Black People do not have to stop and answer your questions about any matter concerning our mere presence. We know it's hard to understand, but we ARE human beings with rights just like you. P.S. Mind Your Own Business.
Put most succinctly, thank you. My mother used to say to us that there was a fortune stored in Edinburgh Castle to be given to the first person that was able to mind their own business. In all history, It's never been claimed!
Ahmaud was found not guilty of burglary, jogging while black, having the support of too many Black ministers, and having funky toe nails. Did I miss any of the defense's charges against Ahmaud? That defense attorney did more to highlight racism than the actual defendants did.
Any agreement that can't be won on facts digresses into a character attack. And here in America the easiest way to attack one's character (on both sides) seems to be race.
@@colleenposadas8415 a person can still wish justice for someone even if they didn't live upright, that doesn't warrant being murdered or the murderers to be let off. You can also still pass condolences as well in face of such a tragic way to die.
Judge Timothy is truly honorable. He upheld decorum, and upheld the proceedings with all integrity. The jury saw right through the paper thin defense and I am very grateful that justice was served.
nothing matters LOL what.. that’s a self report if I’ve ever seen one. You do understand that it’s a jury trial right? The same type of trial Rittenhouse got. Are you condoning modern day lynchings or do you truly believe these guys are innocent of murder ?
The original District of Attorney who should have filed charges has been indicted for this case. Cover up, conspiracy to cover up a crime, not doing her job and other counts.
George Barnhill, former Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney, should also be indicted. He delayed proper prosecution to commence until he had to recuse himself for a conflict of interest.
The actual charges are one felony count of violation of oath of public officer and one misdemeanor count of Obstruction of a Police Officer. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Ahmaud_Arbery#Indictment_of_former_Glynn_County_district_attorney

Who's to say the cops would have handled it better after what they have been doing for many years I was happy for a few minutes till I remembered the young was not alive
This was a senseless murder. That young man should still be alive but these men decided to chase him down and take his life. You cannot just take someone's life!!!
@myview… where did the court OJ did? And just like Kyle Rittenhouse as they saySelf Defense for Dababy. It was on camera. Make your comment have facts when speaking. We accepted the self defense for Kyle. But all those you name was found not guilty. Move around. I’m sure you have plenty of kinfolks who have on the Jim Crow laws like these ppl did this young man.
The decorum of the Judge should be shown all over the country. Of course there will be many who oppose the decision but if you truly are pro law/country, this decision is spot on.

Yes ma'am. People believe what they want so I have no issue there but if your beliefs endanger others unjustly, your actions should come with swift and properly measured Justice. Amos 5:24
I supported the not guilty verdict for kyle rittenhouse and I support the guilty verdict in this case. Facts are facts and justice was served. No matter your skin color we support what's right
They both ran away from their aggressors and they both defended themselves when they couldn't run anymore, sadly one lost their life trying to defend themselves.
This is like almost the opposite of the rittenhouse situation. These guys chased a man down and murdered him. Rittenhouse was chased by people trying to murder him. Whatever you believe about rittenhouse and his motivation for being there that night it’s very clear in all 3 instances he was being assaulted when he fired.
Justice like him will never be nominated, he follow to law. The Supreme Court should not be separated by political parties. You can tell the outcome of most scotus by their political party affiliation🤮.
None of them needed to get involved. The sad part is a guy got murdered because three people didn't need to get involved in something but they're so entitled and used to getting away with such stuff it didn't even cross their minds that they might be prosecuted and convicted
This whole situation is very sad. Auhmad lost his life and now Travis's little boy will grow up without his father and grandfather, all because they thought they were the police. Smh.
See, no matter how degrading the defending attorneys got, these men were still found guilty. Now instead of preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday, these men will be preparing for life in prison. Hope they’re ready for what’s coming. If only they’d been minding their own business.
@@ingriddieckmann6865 Appeals based on what? They have no case for appeal and even if they do appeal they'll still sit in prison they aren't getting out on bond while that winds it way through.
Same. Tho I feel like real justice would be to give Mr. Arbery his life back. I’m happy they were found guilty for the sake of the family but it pains me to know it came at the cost of Ahmaud’s life. I hope he’s resting in peace and I’m thankful to the jurors that were able to see past the bullshit the defense was selling and make the right verdict.
I did too! I had just clocked out of my job, turned the TV on seeking the news on the verdict and my TV read all three defendants found GUILTY of MURDER by the jury!! I screamed too and started crying. No race of people should never be murdered, trapped, with racism because of the color of there skin! NEVER!!
This actually brought tears of happiness but also sadness to my eyes. Happiness that the jury was brave enough to do their duty and request these 3 be held accountable. That was the only verdict there could be... Happiness and sadness for the Aubry family. 🙏
@@chrisw.5823 i agree, on this matter they didnt see him take anything and he had no backpack or bag to carry stolen items. This was a mind you business situation. If he had a bag then maybe ask but dont force a person to talk to you at gun point.

I see many ppl talking about judge's feelings. This is not about feelings but laws. There are laws FOR ALL. Feelings are subjective, LAWS are objective and for all. Now, that justice was made, lets pray for Ahmaud and lets put a candle at the window. RIP
The law is not objective. I think your very much incorrect. That's the whole reason we have courts. So that laws can be interpreted subjectively. The same cases tried by different people reach different outcomes. The law is more akin to fluid than solid.
All I can say is that at 12 noon today, I didn't think 11 White jurors would have the courage to come back with a Guilty Verdict... Thank God they did do the Right thing on a Guilty Verdict for all 3 of them... That prosecutor did an outstanding job but you never know how a jury will react, Happy Thanksgiving that today Justice was served in the USA ‼️ THANK YOU TO HIS MOM FOR NOT GIVING UP💐💐 RIP Mr. Ahmaud Arberry💐
I've only watched it twice. I'm searching the Internet for footage showing the three convicts and their lawyers squirming, especially attorney 'Mistrial' Gough.
Wow a professional judge. I like how he said who ever made an outburst to be removed from court. This is not a happy day. Life was taken, lives were ruined. I hope for a day when we can all live together in harmony.

Whoever the police chief or whomever is in charge of charging people for their crimes and all the officers on scene should be brought to justice. This was a cover up and these things can't continue to happen.
They should of left that issue to the home owner. The man just wanted no more trespassing on his property. He didnt want the neighbors to chase - hunt down and try to detain anyone. I'm are Travis is wishing he would of never went into get daddy. OR GRAB THAT SHOTGUN. Great judgment call. Now you pay the piper. They all 3 gonna get their asses kicked In jail
Good deal... Nobody has the right to make anyone answer their silly questions. To chase anybody, just because one is curious as to why they are there, is wrong. It is not "their neighborhood" it is PUBLIC PROPERTY.
As a (white) English person, living in France, I don't know why I have been following this trial from afar, but I have. My own verdict would have been all three guilty on all nine charges. The jury were obviously closer to this than me, so I feel that their verdict is just, and that for once in the USA, justice has been done in the unjustified violent death of a black man. Let us hope that this brilliant judge is as good at sentencing as he is at presiding.
Finally. JUSTICE ⚖ 🙌💯💙🙏 A M E N ! They had no right to do what they did and take that young man's life. Praying for strength and may the Arbery family have time to grieve properly . My thoughts are with them 🙏 ❤ Rest in Power Amaud Arbery 🤍 🕊
The judge was amazing in handling his court and the proceedings. But tremendous credit must also be given to the jury. The defense thought a mostly white jury would have swayed in their favour. They went there, listened to the evidence and returned a fair and carefully considered drcision based on the law not emotions. Bravo!
