@Nicholas Cuts I'm not defending or excusing his actions (I'm a Social Worker), but Rosenbaum was also subjected to physical and emotional abuse from his own parents. He had ADHD and Bi-polar Disorder, was addicted to meth, heroine, LSD and cocaine by aged 14, was homeless at 18, and was released from a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt the same day he was killed by Rittenhouse. The molestation happened when he was 16 when he was still a minor himself. Again, not excusing his actions, just identifying that he was a troubled man from an early age, I think the system failed him in a lot of ways.

The son look confused like he was questioning himself did I do something wrong. He still lived at home. He behaved the way his stupid father taught him to. He never grew up to be his own man. IMO His father heard not guilty for the first charge and the look on his face hearing the following guilty verdicts was priceless. Like that pos would have been OK if he got off and his son didn't, for something no doubt he taught his son and probably initiated that event.

The case likely wouldn’t have been investigated because of her if not for the fact the video was released. She is now charged with felony violation of oath, and misdemeanor obstruction of a police officer.

Since 9-11 I don't think I've really felt safe at all in terms of Homeland security. I feel we are being surveiled for our beliefs and opinions, BUT, it's because we have lost our collective minds. I mean we've seen home intruders do many crazy things and take babies out of cribs and murder them. Intrusion is a scary thing. It's not the color it's the sheer gall of what their doing. They saw the videos and when they saw him they bolted after him and followed him til Ahmaud made the decision too charge someone with a shot gun. It's just a sad situation all around and the video of blood spatter through the back made it worse.

I disagree about Kyle. According to Wisconsin law 939.48 subdivision 2-someone can not claim self defense when they provoke an attack. Kyle's group provoked the attack. The prosecution couldn't prove that Kyle specifically did anything to provoke. Lucky him!

Ok so basically a felony murder charge is a felony that resulted in a murder. They had 2 counts of aggravated assault (a felony that resulted in a murder), 1 count of false imprisonment (a felony that resulted in a murder), and criminal false imprisonment (you know the drill, a felony which resulted in a murder). The aggravated assault charges were having and using a deadly weapon (the gun) and using an object (the truck) in a harmful non-defensive way. The first false imprisonment charge was when they first restricted his movements and liberty. The criminal false imprisonment is when they followed him to another street to further restrict his freedoms. Most states have degrees of murder charges (1st degree, 2nd degree, etc) but Georgia only has malice murder and felony murder. Malice murder is basically when you plan and intend to murder someone and felony murder is a murder that results from a felony. They tried to assert self-defense and conducting a citizen's arrest as affirmative defenses but failed to meet the elements of either. Hope this helps!

Yeah, what Nicole said. It's not easy to explain, but you can be charged several times for one single incident because the incident is broken down into elements, elements that are all also unlawful. For example, if you’re arrested for the possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, you may think that you’re only going to face two charges, only to find out that you’re facing more than a dozen. Why? Because your stash of marijuana was tucked inside a tin full of a dozen rolling papers along with a couple of pipes. Each rolling paper and pipe can count as a distinct charge - greatly enhancing the possible penalty you face if you’re convicted. It's similar with the murder charges, it seems like they're being convicted over and over for the same thing, but they're actually being convicted for various elements (counts) of the same thing (the murder). Hope that makes some sorta sense.
