If they add proper AI, then Single Player will finally be worth advertising. lol So far, it's been a very bare testing ground for dinos before you decide to play them in multiplayer.
I really love how the devs take the time and effort to make the game accessible to people instead of bloating everything making it unplayable to anyone without a high end gaming PC like many games o these days
@@Adaptibility if i recall correctly you can either buy the game and all its content outright or you can get the free version and play with just the 4 starter dinos.
Ugh, waiting for AI dinos is like that childhood christmas night anxiety when you know you have to go to sleep but you just can't. AI dinos will make the game an entire new experience. Like, sequel levels of different.
@@THELIONMAN7 They are starting with the small stuff to work out any issues. Then they plan to AI big stuff. Which makes sense... Don't want an invulnerable T-Rex that can multi-hit/instant kill bites roaming the server at mach 10.
I have been waiting since launch of this game for AI dinosaurs to come out. If you look at the POT reviews, the only reason why it’s not five stars is because the single player worlds are “empty”. Now, this won’t be the case! I’m so hyped!
Im excited for ai so that i can play solo now and not get constantly killed on officials. I like playing solo but it does get lonely. So hopefully the ai will be fun.
If they did this I would hope they compensate guys like me who grew everything to adult on both maps 😅 I’ll settle for some rare skins Alderon, thank you.

This won't happen considering dino merging between maps was suppose to be a feature before the Achillobator was released(Thus was stated by the devs). Do with this what you please.

I don't know if this will be an unpopular opinion or not, but I can't believe questing isn't talked about more. Its by far the worst part of the game, at least for me. Its compounded by the fact that it's tied to growth.
@@GrannySlapp3r it's beyond stupid. I don't understand why it hasn't been prioritised. The quests we have should be for when you've exhausted ALL the other ones in an area if you want to stay in that same area. The only reason I can think of is that they devs want to tie it to AI quest givers and that might take some time to develop. Otherwise, I'm completely stumped.
think about it this way. there's not much that can be improved about the questing system until the add npcs to interact with. so it will likely be the next big thing after AI is implemented.
I think struthi might have the kind the lamb call with something like “speed up calls” with hustle, a +sprint speed call (maybe with less defense debuff or something), and maybe something like the lamb’s ability to stop running uphill being slowed down.
Game modes do look revolutionary but as well so does A.I especially if modded animals get to be A.I as well and hopefully more TLC models and stat upgrades for both official and modded dinos and creatures in future
I think Alderon should really focus on AI dinos asap. It would make the game feel more alive. It would also help low population community servers keep engagement up. I just hope they add something that differentiates AI from player dinos cuz AI dont follow realism rules 😆
Ive taken a break from the game but once ai gets added i plan on coming back either that or thunderstorms. With the unreal engine they could totally make floods a thing. That would be awesome. Crater going from a pond to a lake or rivers rising would be so cool

Would love a frigging rex rework so we aren't gangbanded by every dino or forced to put our ass in a cliff when we get jumped by mix packs. Or give us a bigger apex carni since they seem to hate rex so much
Rex is still a fairly new dino it prob won't get a rework for a while other dinos have been it the game for longer and still haven't received love cough cough allo

A really cool feature will be is; If you playing as a Herbivore, most other AI Herbivores will be chill around you, while some smaller ones run away from you depending on your Combat Weight. If you are a Carnivore though, herbivores will automatically run away from you while the bigger ones might fight or run away. That'll be such a cool feature imo lol

I even thought of a concept, Your group needs to be the same species, then you can build a nest, It will have as many eggs as there are qroupmembers If a group member dies it will respawn at the nest and stay in the group but this takes away one egg Other players can destroy the nest So you need to protect or hide it :")))

O hell ya game modes AI Dino’s and nesting are my 3 tips rn!even tho nesting probably won’t come out for awhile but still!im so incredibly excited for this also velo you think when AI Dino’s come you think they might maybe having like a little emotion sticker over the tops of them like it showed in that video?
Also, on ps5, I never had lag with this game at all. Even with everyome in one spot. The controls are weirdish but other than that literally never had a problem
If you have 200 players on your server, you really don't need AI dinosaurs on top of the increased player count. I can understand it for the solo game mode, but if you play online, people want to fight other players, not AI. Burrows, bones and spawned corpses are sufficient for staving off starvation if you are struggling to locate any players to hunt. *Also I wish they would focus on rounding out the current gamemode before trying to invent more that can potentially flop. I want Nesting, the questing overhaul and more depth to the current gameplay loop over dinosaur battle royal.
The more popular the server the more real players it will have. AI will act as filler for those servers. I don't see it as a bad thing but I'm not a competitive pvper. One thing it has a chance of doing is making the game world feel more alive having random AI wandering around places players don't really go, because lets be honest most of us go to hotspots don't we 🙂
I have to strongly disagree. I play on near full servers at all times, and if you aren't at a hotspot then you can easily go and hour or more without seeing another player. The point of AI is to fill out areas that players just don't go to very much and make the game feel more alive - if the goal is to have the game feel more alive then 200 players and AI definitely won't feel too crowded, especially so when you consider the ocean biomes that are almost completely dead at all time.
AI dinosaurs populating the world is definitely an important feature that should be implemented _especially_ for single player mode. But even for multiplayer finding….anyone is a challenge because people either tend to cluster in specific n areas of the map or they’re widely dispersed. Having more entities than just other players to interact with offers more possibilities for quest types (beyond “oh boy let’s collect some more mushrooms”), more danger and just generally acts as a way to make the world feel more alive. That is of course assuming they’re able to make the AI sophisticated enough.
I want them to add nesting and use AI/updated quest systems to improve survival gameplay. The game mods, battle mods, Dosent really interest me as I didn’t get this game to enjoy battle Royal dino version I wanted to do survival realism
Really hope they don't ruin struthi by making it a support dino, support is the least played faction for a reason, it's not fun and most times your group doesn't need any help besides you dealing extra damage. Struthi should be a fast agile and decently strong dino, able to kill raptors and in groups bully mid tiers. The isle has a great galimimus
Galli is like twice the size of struth and struth is already capable of killing raptors. Also saying support dinos like lamb and metri aren't fun is just... No
@@Eeeeeee-sh2zn lamb gets bodies by most dinos in the game ATM, and metria is fun but it's less support and more heal yourself and then continue fighting. I was using galli as a starting point for struthi, galli is bigger but in path the raptors are a lot smaller so it's just a smaller scale galli. Struthi can kill raptors it's just way harder than it should be and competent raptors can kill a struthi in 2 pounces
@@KhanArtist3 lamb can win a 1v1 against most carnivores of allo size or smaller as long as you know what you're doing and time the attacks and calls properly and you can always use to escape if needed. Also struth becoming a full support dino won't change the fact that it can run around and kick things like it already does.
@@Eeeeeee-sh2zn it would still be weak, I'm saying it should be a little stronger than it is now, maybe 50 damage and .75 bleed so it can compete with other small tiers. Lambeo can barley take dasp, and is slower, weaker and can't heal when fighting allos, it does well against mid tiers but ceratos, metris, megalanias, and achillos can solo a lamb easy if they are good
Gawd, i hope the AI is socially interactive. I play on ps5. Talking in chat is not my thing. But i do like the aspect of emotes you can do to understand each other. It's something about communicating with dino speach that makes this game fun. Please, people, keep it simple stupid. Also, how about a giant anaconda on the game, haha, or dino bugs!! If the funding is good, guys, make this game last at least for the next hundred years!!
Would being able to respawn at a selected home cave break the game? I feel like they are spread out enough it wouldn't diminish anything and would keep the downtime running between deaths bearable... Thoughts?
On mobile I get a ping of 20-30 on my own and 50-60 in a hotspot. Which is very good for a mobile device, but I’m getting crashes and lag on every server. Even low player count servers. Before this update I never had many issues and my game ran well. Can’t imagine the problem is fully on my end. I hope alderon will fix it cause I love this game to death
Well....time to grind all struthi skins,and save marks for new abilities. I plan on doing bars after struthi,my lamb is done,eventually all my dinos will have everything unlocked!!!!!
Fun fact pot used to be(and still technically is) a money scheme meant to prop up the real project deathly wants to pursue called project black out. The questing system, survival system and pretty much all the mechanical aspects for pot is meant to be ported over to project black out.
Yeah, but I think they saw the success with PoT and decided to majorly work on that instead, especially since people seemed more interested in it. I could be wrong though lol
@grendel8342 I'm just saying. I've seen many people interested in PoT and the modders behind it and such. I have not once seen anyone really mention Black Out or be hyped for it at all (which ig makes sense, seeing how the game hasn't had an update or personal game update in years)
my personal thought is that nesting will come after the quest rework, truthfully we are still unsure which will come first, im still hopeful for nesting
Hopefully with 200 capacity servers and a.i people will play differently and not battlefield dino edition if not will be very difficult to grow, i do enjoy a good fight but it gets very bad on officials sometimes where people attack for no reason, not even hungry or a mega mix pack pursuing you half way across the map to kill a juvi 😢
Hope the devs make it like ark survival, where Ai dinoes can hear you & track your footsteps sounds withing a certain radius zone aura that you have to get out of range of or hide and sit still, or in other cases of no hiding hope for rain to get a better chance of escape of detection from the Ai dinoes that would be awesome in my opinion but perhaps terrifying especially for those individuals who don't like jump scares, 😆 🤣 😂
I cant wait for all the people who complained about KOS to get clapped by mindless robots so that their ego is held intact that it wasnt another player that was better than them.
Why? I think AI would at least slightly deter bloodthirsty groups, as well as the other game modes. Right now survival servers are the only place to practice pvp. Now you'll be able to take that hostility elsewhere. The solo player will always suffer while mega groups exist but I don't think these updates hurt them.
They to fix the game on mobile, since the update it’s been completely unplayable at least for me. It crashes as soon as I click enter on a server as a dino
The only one that might be solo based will probably be Leedsichthys. I imagine Miragaia will be focused on buffing other stegosaurs while Microraptor will be flock/pack focused (like other small creatures in the game currently) Though, this comment could age like milk as well so idk lol
AI dinos on top of 200 players? This game is about to get laggy af and probably unplayable They also wanting to focus on gamemodes while new dinos and the long promised nesting and new quests, this is too much at once, and i believe nesting and quests around it is more important than gamemodes, as that will give the game actual purpose to play it, because the game's purpose right now is solely mindnumbing pvp and that gets boring very quickly
I am fairly new to the PoT community. Ive only gotten a T-Rex to adulthood so far and play on official servers. One thing I see a lot is terms like TLC. What is that?
TLC stands for “tender loving care”, it’s basically when a creature that’s been in the game for a while gets updated to have a new model/animations/abilities, like the recent Lambeosaurus update.
Been waiting forever for AI dinos to be added. The game is so boring right now, I love seeing the updates but actually playing the game feels so empty and pointless most of the time. AI dinos, quests, and nesting will make the game feel.. well.. like a game.
the struthio is worse enough why even more... pot have now just like 10 or 15 mods, the fight system is shit and they dont bring nesting ingame but some weird tlc that do tje dikos even worse...
If they plan to increase the amount of players then the devs need to give us more growth. With the amount of group of KOSers that use Discord to team up against players, It will be harder for people to grow. The loss of players will be significant! Don’t get me wrong I understand it’s a survival game, but the time It takes to grow now compared to what will happen when there’s a total of 200 players will be huge. Also the repetitive collecting is mad annoying!
@@itzvitality8420 I play official as my main! But I play community to spar and learn how to use each Dino. I’m just saying a little increase would be nice. A maxed out server will be a nightmare.
