Today was a cool and pleasant day for humans and gorillas alike with a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
Shabani and the other gorillas were relaxing outside after eating all the vegetables that the keepers had spread out for them.
Annie was enjoying playing in the grass and lounging at the top of the tower, and Kiyomasa was sleeping comfortably.
Shabani was sleeping comfortably with Ai and all the gorillas were having a peaceful time.
After that, Shabani and the other gorillas went back to the sub-room, but after a while they all came to check on Nene, who was in the main room, looking worried.

I see there a lot of comments about Nene not pulling through. We can honestly say she lived a long healthy and good life (for being in captivity), and she gave birth to 2 wonderful gorillas. She also gave us many laughs through the years. We love you Nene. ❤🙏🦍

I noticed, on previous video, Annie has many scratches on her. I was wondering who and how she received them. Watching today I thought maybe Kiyo has been so upset he is playing too rough. That maybe why Shabani is trying to keep them separated. While offering to play w Kiyo. Nenes condition is weighing on them physically and mentally. Appreciate how the keepers are protecting Nene and caring for the troop. ❤ We are all aware of the circle of Life and how it can affect the family. The slow transition of Nene will help them cope w her loss. It's worse when there is sudden surprise of the loss. Thank you to the keepers. This is hard on them too ❤

I’m worried that little Nene will not be returning to the troop. Prayers for her and the troop. It has to be very hard on Ai, Shabani and Kiyomasa and Annie. 😢🙏🏼🦍

Nene was crawling on her knees and elbows along the floor yesterday, she looked very ill, she is suffering and it was so very sad to see her in a room on her own unable to stand up, I don't think she should be left to suffer like she is, it's not fair and it made me very upset.

Oh my word, At 3:20 just look how huge Kiyomasa is he 🫣🫣certainly isn’t a little baby anymore 😂😂 I’m praying 🙏 for my grumpy old ladybug Nene. She took her role as alpha female with her head high and eyes forward. I’m sorry to say this but if Nene doesn’t come back from this at least we got a mini me /😂😂huge look alike with Kiyo. It's so hard to face how poorly Nene is. Will zookeepers let the family be near her when she is passing or just after if even through bars? I fear they will continue searching at window if not. Bless her and this sweet family. 🕊💜❤️💜🕊

That video the other day where it showed Nene dragging her self inside the main room was concerning. I imagine they are monitoring her and weary on what decisions to make if she doesn't improve 🦍

I hope AI starts to realize the wonderful, caring and concerned gorilla Shabani is and this brings the family closer! Things have calmed down with the families relationship with each other with the absense of Nene though. Making the seperation for Nene and the troop permanent wouldn't be a bad idea moving forward. They can still interact on Nene terms.

Wunderbar, den beiden Jungs und den jungen Mädels geht es gut, die Temperaturen sind nicht mehr so heiß und alle sind müde und entspannter. 😍🥰❤ Der Kletterturm ist super für die Gorillas. 👍 Wie es der lieben Nene geht, weiß ich leider nicht.

I'm afraid this troop may see some radical changes. Nene is 90 years old in human years, and with a tough fall, this can be disastrous for her health. She is a tough one, but I think is going downhill fast. In just a matter of time Kiyomasa needs to be moved, as well as Annie. Hopefully a younger female can be added to the troop. I hope and Zoo and this family is prepared for a rough time.

Yeah it was rather shocking to see how fast Nene declined from her normal till now. I'd expect they will space out the changes to not shock Shabani. Even just the Nene separation had him and the others not eating nearly as much. If they would do all of those changes as Nene passed that would be too big of a shock to Shabani.

Shabain was not having Annie get close to Kiyo. Annie was checking on Kiyo injuries. Shabain walks over and gets between Annie and Kiyo. Kiyo got the message and moved on. There must have been a fight between Shabain and Kiyo earlier.

I was wondering how they clean the bigger main room, or do they not do that while Nene is in there? Hopefully shes okay and getting a little better, they seem to be getting used to being just four, although they still look for Nene 😟 bless her ❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Nene is in the main room and I'm sure it is her choice as to where to be in that room not the keepers making she she didn't get close to the windows.

ZOO KEEPERS: What is Nene's true medical disgnosis? Did she actually have a stroke at the time of her fall??? And is she getting better or is she spiraling? It would be nice if you would be open and honest with the people who watch your videos, and who care about Nene.. Why are you keeping Nene's health a big secret? Please just be open and honest about her medical diagnosis and true current health condition. We don't want to continuously hear "Everyone is eating good"!!! Be up front, honest, and truthful about Nene's health!!!

@@ClearlyCards I worked in this field for 40 years and never witnessed one single western have a stroke. It's extremely rare, and whomever started that rumor needs to stop. The only way you could even tell if Nene had a stroke is through necropsy. They don't do CT scans and MRI's on gorillas.

@@LisaPFMoore Just as I've been trying to tell people as a former keeper that they can't update daily, and it can take weeks for a sick or injured gorilla to recover. The zoo staff/vet are doing the right things, it just takes time. I'm glad to hear Nene is improving some. Thank you for the information.

Shabani was a bit rough on her when she wasn't moving around so not a good idea for him. AI would be a much better choice as she never messed with Nene before the separation.

ZOO VETS: I truly don't believe Nene will be shown on video anymore due to her poor medical condition. I don't understand why the zoo vets are allowing her to suffer as much as she seems to be suffering. Where is the humanity in allowing this primate to suffer so much??? How long do you allow them to suffer? Every video that we see of Nene is worst than the one prior, and now we have no more Nene videos. It looks like Nene's health is spiraling. You are not being open & honest to your viewers about her health condition....WHY??? You owe your viewers the truth about Nene's current diagnosis....we are not children you need to protect bad news from!!! You don’t know if they are trying to save her, because they haven’t released any information. I would like to know if and or when the zoo is going to let the public know of her condition. The more people ask the more likely they will be moved to share something with the public. If you aren’t interested in her condition that is your business just as it is my business to be concerned and would appreciate any information from those responsible for her care to share how Nene is fairing. I get why Shabani, AI, and Kiyo are concerned about Nene but Annie showing concern confuses me because never once have I seen Annie show any affection towards Nene. More like she would just play pranks on her or mess with her.
