Man the more time I have to watch your videos, the more I realize how priceless the knowledge you share is! It would be a shame if RU-vid shut you down, like the purge that's going on with so many other content creators like you. I hope you've talked to John Lovell already, and had him back your videos up on the Warrior Poet Network. I'm not over there yet, but if things keep going the way they have been, it will be a price most of us would be willing to pay. Plus your videos would add so much value, I'm sure he would help you out. Alot of other gun channels have already hooked up with him. I'm definitely going to ride it out on RU-vid as long as possible, but if the commies get there way they will shut down anything that helps concerned citizens, become capable citizens. Either way thanks for another great video!!!!🤜🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸

I'm also on a limited budget. I shoot once a month with my shooting group (I take care of logistics, they share ammo!) and I'm a member of an indoor range, so I'll pop in and fire 2-3 magazines as much as I can. Dry fire is free though. If your gun budget is $1000 dollars, spend half on a gun and half on a class. Learn well, practice well. Remember: Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes Permanent. Perfect Practice makes Perfect Permanent.
@DatsDaven
@DatsDaven 4 года назад
More is better than less. Also, make sure that each round you fire is educational. The best instruction I have ever received was during a 4-hour class wherein we fired less than 100 rounds. Now, when I train others, the focus is on deliberate, thoughtful repetitions, rather than on pure quantity. Make every trigger pull count in training. It's much less expensive that way!

Dead on, especially with the handgun and its limited terminal performance. If you don't hit anything of high value, you may not be making hits that count in the worst scenarios. And, yes, the dynamic creature that is man will shift, so should your ability to read and target him. But of another note, there seems to be a strange psychological function in man, that if he gives himself too much leeway he tends to screw up things that are relatively easy. If you really need to hit a 12 inch steel target, treat it like a 4 inch target in your mind, aim for that dead center and don't give yourself that leeway and slop. If you shoot for the center of the target like hitting the dead center of that X is the only way, even your misses will hit the broad target. If you act as if you have 12 inches of room for error, you're misses will almost magically be off target. Concentrate and focus, act is if you don't hit the man in the heart you won't stop him, and even your poorer shots will be likely to hit the other organs in the torso. Act as if you only have to hit a man, don't be too shocked when you miss him completely. And as always, great video.

What about threats who may be wearing armour plates? Hitting the A zone may not be useful anymore, as it won't kill. Should you aim for the head or the pelvic area? I personally prefer the pelvic area as it is a much bigger target, but the head is a more lethal option.
@TacticalRifleman
@TacticalRifleman 4 года назад
The "High A" zone is still the best target as it is larger and presents more often than pelvic shots, and larger than head. If target is wearing plate, hits to "High-A" still knock them off balance while you stay on the trigger walking rounds to the T-Box (Head) or pelvic girdle. Always train center mass. I was told by gun defense attorney, head shots can be interpreted as “assassin shots” and not defensive shots. May diminish argument that you acted entirely for self defense.

Milan Djuric He told us the attorney for the poor family of the deceased bad guy will try to convince jury that a head shot demonstrates more than defensive intent. The arguments used are 1) that purely defensive use of a gun doesn’t permit time for a carefully placed head shot, 2) every training for defensive purposes uses the ‘2 to center mass’, 3) a head shot is a ‘kill shot’ as opposed to defense shot, and 3) the Israel Assignation shot is “2 to the plumbing and 1 to the electronics.” Not sure I agree with all of that but it did come from an experienced self-defense attorney. I guess it depends on situation. If I had time to access the situation and knew the bad guy was on drugs, I’d place one in the electronics. In real life I think few have time for all these assessments especially when you consider most gun fights are within 5 feet and over within 3 seconds. Another argument for “point gun at torso and rapidly pull trigger” method.

@@bw162 yeah, I gess it seems legit for an argument. But still, if somebody attacked you first, i would say it is selfdefence wherever you shoot

Milan Djuric Yes, but you would be surprised the impact a grieving widow, 2 orphaned kids and a good attorney has on a jury that is not your peers. I saw a jury award $6 million because they decided the guy pumping gas into a helicopter should have advised the pilot of his limited fuel reserve. Noware in the FAA regs is anyone but the pilot responsible for that. But the widowed passenger had 2 kids and the city employee pumping gas represented “deep pockets”.

Actually, I was first told that during a sniper course in 1989, slightly before the Patriot movie came out.

@@TacticalRifleman that makes it even better. I'm 33 so I was a child when that movie came out but that is the most simple and important thing any shooter can remember in my opinion. thank you for your service and highly informative videos.
