Thank you! Are they so self absorbed that everything is about an opportunity for them? No worry for the person sick or injured? Or the speed with which the helicopter may need to leave, but won’t be able to because they have swarmed it? Unbelievable!
I often see the red helicopter coming over my garden and going out to sea obviously looking for some poor sole in trouble. Or going over the mountains in snowdonia. People don't rush out to see it .if they are lucky enough to get near they soon move when the Paramedics disembark. And where are the MOD police to move these idiots to leave the area??? I bet all the pesky tourists would soon move if the paramedics got there collection bucket out for a donation!!!
That was my thought, they only send the air ambulance if it's a remote area and immediate help is needed or a very serious situation that requires someone getting to the hospital very quickly, yet all those ghouls were hanging around taking pictures. It was truly mind-blowing.
Why are the parents of the children, they should be teaching their children to keep away from the helicopter. It is not a toy, they are working, it needs to be clear at all times!!!! If it wasn’t for an air ambulance I wouldn’t be alive today. So please if you see one, please give them space to work, they need it. It could be the matter of life or death!!!
Do at least some of these tourons have regular jobs where they have rules, regs, and responsibilities to adhere to?? Even nits make way for injured nits. Nicht Wahr?
It’s amazing how stupid some people can be. They are putting everyone on danger especially the children. The police should be telling them all to get back
Didn't you see the ambulance out on Whitehall or the medics from the helicopter heading into the yard? It wasn't an exercise but, luckily, the airlift wasn't needed.
NEVER! The tourists are out of hand with their entitlement and disrespect. It’s like they are at the local fair or Disney. Stupid. Make them stop. Give someone command rights. Ghee Whiz guys. Stop this before a horse, child, Gusrd or tourist gets hurt. Seriously. This has just gone entirely too far. Is it for money?
Good thing the propellers arent spinning. Someone could lose their head or another body part. Also parents not teaching anything like the dangers. Absurd.
It would appear that all the dolts think it is now time for a free ride on the helicopter! Just another part of their 'Disney Land/zoo' adventure!! Why on earth are they allowed anywhere near that helicopter?! They are running to intercept it!! The tourists/loonies have been allowed to run the place for far too long now!! Perhaps this was a practice run, but still, nobody should be allowed to run to a landing helicopter!! 🙄🤪
All I hope is that when it came for the Air Ambulance to take off the bloody idiots move, they just stand in the way of the troopers on the ground and in the boxes, when asked to move they laugh, the horses leave the box they just stand their like the idiots they are. I am sure those children thought they could have a ride in it. It is an emergency vehicle they need to be kept clear of it anyway. I hope whoever it was called for they are alright, when your ill all you want is huge crowd of strangers watching you. Bless these wonderful people who do this job. We as a family always donate towards our own Air ambulance here in Staffordshire. Ground ambulance people are also the best, traffic is the bane of their lives, I am surprised that an ambulance only lane hasn't been thought of. like bus lanes.
How unruly can you get ? People are walking up to the helicopter as if it is a scheduled item to be toured !!! Some of the police or guards surely could have been deployed for safety !!!!
I don't have a problem with people being allowed to watch the helicopter - it's exciting, especially for children. There were 2 crew members keeping an eye on it and no one was allowed to touch anything. Good PR for the Air Ambulance service, which relies on public donation. I'm sure they'd have been given a police (or trooper?) guard if the crew thought it necessary. BTW I heard on another channel that a person had an epileptic fit and was eventually taken to hospital via road ambulance.
Why aren't the police out there keeping all those people away from that helicopter and the situation. Where are the police and security people? These people have no brains
Where are the police?!?! It’s an emergency helicopter-not a crowd exhibit to take a picture with!! That was a total failure on the part of the police!!
I agree with whomever was complaining those people should not be that close to that helicopter they could break a Rudder or one of the sensors in the front unbeknown to the pilot and could cause a life issue
Tourist don't think they are on holiday something new to show their family and friends. On a cruise ship big storm. Gentleman broke his leg. Spanish military helicopter hovered over bow. Man rescued safely thanks the captain hold the ship as steady as he could and the skills of the helicopter crew. Idiot passengers asked not to take pictures using 📸 flash. Ruins pilots night sight, did they listen NO. Crew not impressed. At least the helicopter pilot was prepared to chat, but honestly someone should have come to helped him that's a valuable emergency machine not a toy.
Horseguards can, ans sometimes is, cleared and closed down within 2 minutes. It usually happens when an organised protest approaching is liable to upset the horses or is getting too rowdy.
@@nonofurbiz4434 have you seen the security in Arlington National Cemetery? The US does not mess around, they protect areas and ban tourists from going near certain areas.
@marion371 That's because people don't know how to act right anymore. They live a life of privilege and abuse that privilege that they themselves refuse to fight for. Soldiers that died for these punks are rolling in their graves because of the lack of respect these people show.
It seems that the police should have patrolled that area. They are way too close to the Air Ambulance. There should be NO activity within the "cone" of the copter blades, for any reason than aircrew actions. Also, I didn't think that wheeled vehicles were allowed on the Parade, other than emergency vehicles or armed escorts. I understand that our rules over "here" are different. It will take too much time to clear the area for a "start up" and I wouldn't want to hold up an emergency transport. Wow😮🤯
I have seen on the videos people having been yelled at by a guard go to the police and complain. The police are way too gentle in their responses. My answer would be “ you deserve to be yelled at, you were being warned not to do an illegal act, what is your problem? Get out of the area and don’t return”. But then my employment would be terminated!!
@@MarionGriffiths-lq8cm Iy's a military of defence facility so the guards are MoD police. they have no jurisdiction on the pavement which is down the the Met police and the Met don't have officers to spare to leave some of the pavements just in case. It's npt fair on eitger of them and vertain;ly b not fair on the Troopers and horses but why should this facility use it's uniqueness die to stupid people and their kids. Blame the sodding parents and kida who don't know how to behave.
@mayajrj I am quite aware it's a military building. And also that MOD police don't have much power on the pavement. And I am also quite aware MET police have to be called to a serious problem caused on the streets in London. Thank goodness I live in North Wales UK 🏴.
There are a limited number of Ministry of Defence police at Horseguards on any day. They are there to protect the military establishment and it's personnel. If the air ambulance needed assistance then they would have asked for it! Aircrew and on-board medical personnel are well trained and practiced in this type of gawking crowd control and rarely asked for police assistance.
Where are police those people need to stay away from that chopper its not there but to help someone those people are stupid womderif the chopper will start up with those idiots around it can't be leave the horses alone either from Pennsylvania usa
Thank goodness for someone sensible. Everyone screaming about where are the Police, they are right where they should be guarding the building. As already said the flight crew will ask for assistance if the feel they need it.
I'm surprised they didn't send for the police to clear people away from the copter! The two men left to watch can not get rid of that many people on their own. I don't understand the tourists either. Yes I would've went to look at the copter but I would've stayed away so as not hender the men's rescue. I think they should put a riverside foot out from the horses a line that the tourists not allowed to cross without a big fine . I'm in the US and I know our soldiers wouldn't put up with it .twice a year here they have a open house thing at the army base .they bring out and park some of the plans and filters for people to take pictures of and even one or two that people can get right up to. They have a fly over with the Blue Angels and others doing stunts. They of course sale souvenirs to the tourist then they close it down for then rest of the time. No one disrespects our soldiers the way they are doing with yours .I'm ashamed on behalf of the Us tourists action while there . they know better ! I'm sorry they don't show the respect these soldiers deserve! ( here the animals be they horses or dogs,etc.. are referred to as soldiers ,K9 soldier Calvery,or horse soldiers or mounted soldiers as they view the animals as a extension of the soldiers horse and soldiers I into dog and soldiers ,I unit. The people wouldn't get away with the things they do there . yes we have a mounted unit -Calvory here. My brother trained for it but had a bad fall from his horse and injured his back . here we don't place blame by saying the horse threw him off he fell. Its always the soldiers fault here for not doing something they may e should have unless they can prove someone or something (snake)caused the soldier to fall from his mount. They don't bring the horses out to be pawed over by tourists. These guards and horses are amazing . Beautiful ,yes both soldiers and their mouth ts!
The lack of police securing the area is a bit alarming if this is a real response, I don’t think I’d want this kind circus carrying on if I were the subject needing help. There’s way too many people around that helicopter for it to take off quickly and no police to keep them away. Is the ambulance out front transferring someone to be airlifted and are they really going to wheel them through Horse Guards with all those people in the way?!? 🙀🙈😹 I have too many questions about this!😹 Not impressed if this is a real mission, even in my little dinky town out in the sticks has more control emergency situations than this! I hope this was a training run!😸
These people are tourists from all over the world even the USA. So maybe because of their own countries restrictions they feel free to do and go where they please when they visit these places.
You have hit the nail on the head, metaphorically, there. People from countries with more restrictive regimes than ours have a belief that we can do almost anything we want. They often believe that, e.g., westerners have a much lower standard of manners and politeness than, e.g., China has. To a certain extent this is true but not as much as most citizens of restrictive regimes are led to believe. Also, many of these people are on the holiday of a lifetime and can get carried away and forget themselves, so to speak.
Please don’t just blame visitors from other countries! In reality, several of the voices heard on this video clip are British, with ‘London’ accents! We Brits. have to blame ourselves - we’ve let our famous ‘tolerance’ get completely out of hand - and so certain tourists and visitors ( along with many Brits. whose families hail from other countries) now take full advantage to behave in a wholly ignorant, disrespectful, uneducated and self-serving manner! Just watch the ‘Air Ambulance’ video clip again whilst taking account of the appearance and voices of those determined to get closest…! If we continue, through our British politicians, police forces and military personnel, to allow such people to trash our traditions, values, historical landmarks and even harass those poor ‘King’s Guard’ soldiers and long-suffering horses ( who face hourly abuse, seemingly unprotected from constant despicable abuse by uncaring, ‘me-first’ visitors), we cannot, surely, expect anything better! Very sadly, ‘Social Media’ now dominates our shared human culture, internationally, hence the tourists’ drive to ‘muscle-in’, taking their photos. and ‘selfies’, regardless of the setting - and wholly oblivious to the needs of other people ( and animals…) around them! All that matters is to achieve and post their images online - and to receive the largest possible number of ‘Likes!’ Life is, for so many, now viewed only via a digital screen - and experiences have no validity unless captured and reflected in a ‘selfie!’ Such a horrendous inditement of our ( still ) incredibly beautiful world 😱! So, I cannot understand why our Royal Family, the King’s Lifeguards and the Met. Police have not, yet, acted together, to bring this situation ( in this historical location, at least) under control! They, surely, have access to all these ‘RU-vid’ video clips, just as we do ( along with their own surveillance cameras), so why are the horses, the stationary Guardsmen ( and, even, the Air Ambulance, for goodness sake…) left in harm’s way throughout every working day? After all, we know that ( except for a ‘Terrorist’ incident) those armed Police Officers, at ‘Horse-Guards’ would be highly unlikely to threaten any misbehaving visitor with being shot, as a deterrent - so let’s, instead, have cordons and other physical barriers erected at both front and back, to ensure that whilst tourists and other visitors continue to enjoy the ‘sights of London’, their behaviour will not be permitted to compromise the security and safety of those amazing humans and animals who serve our capital city - and ourselves, as British citizens!
This is absolutely Ridiculous & Sickening what these tourists a doing !! It's not their business, and how Disrespectful it is to the guardsman who is injured ! I am absolutely floored what these people get away with!! In the United States we do not put our military on display.
Police should have been here to make sure the general public was no were near the Helicopter, they could have been up to allsorts of shenanigans at the rear. 🤨🧐
Ya I agree, how stupid, they are there on a emergency not for a helicopter viewing. In the USA police are always sent to accidents for crowd control. When the Mets return with the patient they are going to have to leave fast ,but now take up time clearing people from the choper
I wonder if it was more photo op than any medical rescue. If it had been an emergency there would have been armed guards & the helicopter personnel wouldn't be walking around chill not to mention they shut helicopter down. Ive been in a rescue helicopter for medical & they didn't shut the helicopter down while they waited for my ambulance to get to them.
People are so nosy and can’t mind there own business hate people like that. Move on people it doesn’t concern you at all. Looking at a helicopter like they never seen one before they should just close that area off to tourists.
Whatever the emergency, people must just mob the helicopter. This just proved how selfish and stupid humans have become. I've seen firsthand this behaviour delaying the take-off by minutes with an accident victim, trying to move clowns away that are just interested in their social media pic/video. To the people that behave like that, very minute counts a stranger life is important, YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ISN'T.
I swear that God was handing out brains and these tourists thought He said trains and they missed theirs. Just because the helicopter is cut off does not mean that it will not be started again and they could get hurt.
Presumably the Air Ambulance was needed only for the most rapid skilled response to a medical emergency in Central London, where road traffic can be impassable. Once it had delivered the response team to the casualty/patient, they would have passed the patient on to the waiting ambulance (seen earlier in the footage) and swiftly delivered by road to one of the main London Teaching Hospitals/medical Centres. Rapid Response Heli-Medics would presumably have returned to the helicopter. - Or perhaps it was just a practice run !
When will they allow the Guard to gently say “GET BACK. DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE. DO NOT FEED THE HORSE” or anything like that. This is getting out of hand.
