I bought the Pro Sport rather than the TX. It's a very solid rifle. I borrowed a TX over a weekend and put a few pellets through it. Then got the Pro. I think I made the right decision. It fits in very nicely with my collection. Weihrauch 97. Daystate Huntsman, BSA R12, and a Walther RM 8.
I'm getting prepared for the UK National recoiling championships and took both the TX200 and Pro Sport out to test and decided to use the latter which I've never shot in a competition before. Should be good!
No one noticed that the guns are lined up , but the TX is missing the rubber butt pad. So therefore it would be an inch or so longer than shown. Should have lined up the back of the stock as if there was no butt pad on the pro sport as well.
Which one would you say is quiter? HC with moderator, say a weihrauch XL or the Pro-Sport? If there isn't a noticeable difference, I would probably go with the TX200 HC.
Both beautiful guns and both superb shooters but the Pro Sport is by far the prettiest springer air rifle on the market bar none. The only other gun that is that beautiful is the Daystate Huntsman.
Yes I'd agree I love a huntsman regal. However the prettiest gun I've ever seen (probably never own at the price tag) is an ISP Spartan held and shot one once at a range and wow good as it looks but if you can find one no change from £2k
@@desmondtwentytwo I still think that the Huntsman and PS take it but not by much. Might change my mind if I'd shot one though, you can't really tell what you feel about a gun until you've shouldered it and fired a few off.
Hiya mate, The tx stock was dark in colour when you started the process of reverb, just got a cs500 on HW97 but the wood on the tx is awesome but dark brownish and would like to get it to something similar to what your working on? Cheers mate, Looking good by the way 👌, Rich
If the cs500 was finished by them you may need remove any coating/ finish they have used first. Best bet is acetone and some scotch pads and lightly sand if needed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UoK6e8zrd2w.html
I’m on the fence with these two. Having shot airguns for nearly 50 years and I’ve always been a Weihrauch man having my and I have two 95k’s in 22 and 177 and my blue laminate 97 in 22 and a little 99s in 22 which is my grab and shoot rifle. And now I’m wanting to get myself the what many say is the pinnacle of all air rifles and I really do like the the pro sport and the TX200 HC but I just can’t make up my mind. Either gun will be used for pest control and sometimes I’ll be in a pop up hide and I’m starting to think that the pro sport may be a bit awkward to cock compared to the TX 200 HC. But I do have a spare beech stock for my 97k which I use when out in the ruff and I can just about manage ok to cock that on within a pop up hide. I’m a leftie so either way I’m going to have to pay extra for a leftie stock. I’m just so bloody indecisive at the moment bud, what’s your thoughts?
As good as they are I sold both and now only have my 97. 22 25mm glided piston set up. Prefer the 97 over the tx but that's just me. Sorry can't help more
I decided on the pro sport in 177 as deep down that’s what I’ve always wanted and I collected last week and I’m over the moon with it. And my god is it accurate as you’ll know. I’m a lefty so it’s cost me more and I got the last pro sport that air arms had available in left handed so I’m not sure if they are made to order or they make a run of them but either way I’ve got mine and I’m well happy. At £975 it’s not cheap by any means but one I’ll have for the rest of my days. But the accuracy of it is mind blowing I zeroed it in at 35 yards and it was producing groups less than the size of a 5 pence bit and that’s pcp territory as I’d taken my hw 100 kt along to zero that as I’d swapped scopes over and I was getting the same groups, I wasn’t getting those groups with my Weihrauch springers. So I’m now thinking next year when I can cash some of my pension in I just may go for the TX200 HC too but there’s plenty of time to contemplate that. But yeh buddy I’m made up with the pro sport.
Yes mate good springers will equal accuracy of pcp without the hassle of charging and power curves etc. Plus to me considerably more rewarding. Great investment
@@desmondtwentytwo My favourite gun of all time is my out-of-the-box HW97 with the sporter stock. It never fails to put a big grin on my face. I have a RATWorks tuned HW100 bullpup .177 for pesting but I find it really quite boring to shoot. Yes it will drop a rat at fifty metres (which is fun) but the actual pleasure of just shooting it isn't there. That's why I still have a springer. I've been thinking about a second PCP for a year or two because I could do with a .22 but I'm more than half-way certain that when I have the cash together I'll probably buy another springer, probably the PS.
@@davidpaylor5666 I have AA s510 Ultimate Sporter and elite Walther LG400 Anatomic and... my favourite airgun is still HW97k RAT Works tuned. Yes it isn't laser accurate like LG400, but fun factor makes HW97k my favourite airgun. Even I think about selling LG400 and buy for recovered money tx200 and Diana 54Airking Pro 😁
