Welcome back to my video. In today's video, I will show you my flying experience from Dushanbe to Almaty on AirAstana. It was my first experience flying with AirAstana and also my first time visiting Tajikistan. To kick start, the flight was terribly delayed for over 6-8 hours. We later found out that Almaty was hit by heavy snowfall. Day before the weather was cold but sunny. Tiring, but no choice, it's out of everyone control. What really drove me up the wall was the airport custom. If you plan to visit this country, I advise all to read the reviews on Google and it's true. The officer tried to shake you off for money. Their action, behaviour really signalled to you that they want your money. To a certain extent, they even targeted my mum's jade bracelet and my gold necklace. Luckily the flight was delayed so I have time to goof around with them. Obviously, after multiple times of counting our money, we abided by the law. Didn't exceed the amount stated according to the custom's law. I flared up. Think twice if you wish to visit Tajik. We went to Uzbek, Kazakh and everything was smooth. They did check our bag and our money, but they let us go immediately after everything was clear.

Your experience reminds me of how I almost got into trouble in Incheon because they thought that my vitamin supplement were illegal perscriptions/drugs lol. They wanted to see the doctor's letter, and since I was unable to provide it, they took it away, but we debated for a whole 10 mins. Upon arrival in Seattle, I got sick immediately lol. But corrupt officers....recently Indonesia got grilled because of that, too, lol. Nice video as always!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had a bad experience with customs in Medan as well. An officer called me into a small room and said it was CNY, did I bring any angpows for him? It was so out of the blue, but also I wasn't shocked or surprised because I had a similar experience before in another part of ID. I flat out told him no and then another officer came into the room and he said something like next time remember ya, cos it's CNY.
