It came from YHZ (Halifax), so it could be anything from the airport being smaller to capacity reasons Edit: but it is the only LHR-YHZ flight, and they've been using the 737-8s for a while now on this route
JJ Skippy All the above correct, Canada’s eastern cities are too small for a lot of widebody service to and from Europe, but the demand is still there. This is why they use narrowbody planes.
+Aero air 1: YHZ to LHR is about 4-5 hrs (no problem for a 737) 2: of course they will continue to use the 777 and 787's on longer/higher demand routes!
If 300+ pax use this route a week, why would they send 777 on this route? That's like sending a380 5 times a day to Manchester. Halifax is not even daily service
