This video could not have come at a better time! I ship on Tuesday for contracting and there isn’t a lot information on contracting. It was really nice to hear the perspective of someone who has recently gone through it all! Appreciate you and these videos Julie and thank you Airman Lewis for sharing!!

Contracting is actually something that is quite lucrative after the Air Force. As long as you have kept up with your training and qualifications, that job is always needed in Civil Service and it can't be contracted out. Average contracting specialists I know are GS-13's which usually pays over $100,000 annually.

HI Emily! Im really trying to find more information to get into contracting for the airforce. Id really appreciate any thoughts you have on the career and the process within the airforce. I do plan on taking college classes during my time for context.

hey i was watching some of your eairler videos about BMT and i was just wondering if you had some answers to some of the questions that i have. First off i really want to get war-hawk on my PT test and dont really know the standerds and i go to look them up and all of the websites and the apps i download have diffrent answers. Also i was wondering how they pick your job in BMT because i really want to be element leader or guidon. i just dont know if its random or not.

Hey I was wondering for your next video if you can demonstrate some stationary drill positions in the air force like attention, parade rest (front and rear view), facing movements, saluting etc. from what you learned at boot camp. I know you stand in these positions within the air force and I thought it would be beneficial for you to show everyone how they’re executed! If you can do this be sure to record yourself full body length so we can see that full position. Thank you for hearing me out!

You spend weeks learning & perfecting it at basic. A typical day in the AF, you won’t be doing any drill movements (besides saluting if you see an officer, or if you’re outside during reveille). The only time you’ll use them is if there’s a specific event or ceremony going on, or if you’re honor guard, etc. It’ll be drilled in your head from basic, it won’t be something you ever forget.

We (females) were given prenatals to ensure we got important vitamins like iron, but they weren’t mandatory at all, it was completely optional. If you did want to take them, you were given free refills when needed

Shipping out on June 25th, 2024 and this is my job. It was my 8th choice😭 almost turned it down but everyone I talked to both in/out of the AF says I'd be stupid to do so. Everyone keeps telling me it's a GREAT job so hey I'm going with the floor🫶🏾
