Air Force One VC-25A ROARING Takeoff at MSP Airport 

I know this is a really stupid question to ask, but how does the president's vehicles get to MN? Are there multiple in all states or did they drive there earlier? If someone can answer, that'd be very appreciated.

To think that in around 70 years we went from that primitive first flight by the Wright Brothers to this magnificent machine is quite amazing

So, given this is a military aircraft, and given the highly specialized nature of its missions, and given the highly protected nature of the commander-in-chief whom this aircraft serves, can I be forgiven for assuming these are not off-the-shelf GE turbo fan engines? And that they have been modified to produce extra power? It would seem logical to me that they have been modified to perform at a higher level for safety/security reasons in addition to the reasons already mentioned. Any thoughts or feedback? I ask because the engines just seem a bit louder then what I thought was normal. I could be entirely wrong though.

When Clinton was on his way to South Africa the powers that be would not let Air Force One land at OR Tambo until the landing fees had been paid. A cheque was arranged by my company for some exorbitant amount and I had to run to the bank, deposit cheque and then return, fax a copy of deposit slip to the airport so they could land. It was all charged to the U.S. American Express Account!

Whenever I am visiting the Twin City area, I stay at the North County Lodge there on the Base. Very nice. I'm retired military.
