Last time I was in Manhattan, I stumbled into a place that did everything with chickpeas, from mains to a type of ice cream. It was amazing. So good that I forgot the name of the place, lol.
Hello from Australia. I have made a couple of batches of falafels without total success. I found one recipe too soft & they flattened out during baking (I did them in the oven). The next batch using a different recipe; although the flavor was great & very authentic they crumbled & wouldn't stay together (I did the soaking, resting in the fridge etc). I had to end up putting the mix in cupcake papers & cooked them in the air-fryer. Personally I think there were too many chickpeas. As I adore falafels I'm going to try your recipe. It looks quite straight forward with a great result. Thank you for sharing.
Hello from California! Yes, falafel can be tricky and is prone to crumbling. I surprised myself with the air fryer method and am happy with the results. I hope you will be, too. Cheers! 👍
I love garbanzos so I want to make your falafel recipe but I don’t have a food processor (Yes I know, so sad). How about using a blender? Will that produce the same texture? Advice?
I think it just might. At the risk of a bad pun, give it a whirl! And if you want a food processor on the cheap, try a thrift store. I think I see at least one or two every time I go. 👍
