I remember they used patina leather on the air jordan 2011, which was a great shoe. These 12s are fire, I love this model.

I hit on a pair but I was still on the fence about copping after watching some of the other reviews ...I’m definitely sold after watching this one

Just got them for 40% off from retail and wow, THESE are badass! Material quality is nice, the shape is perfect, and the gimmick on this colorway is kinda cool. It's worthy of a $190 price tag and I am so glad people slept on this.

So it seems like Jordan brand is referencing denim/jeans when it comes to the product info. Indigo dye is traditionally what's been used to dye denim blue. Raw, unwashed denim is typically a deep, rich dark blue color, and as it fades (or patinas) over time, that dark blue becomes lighter (search for pics of raw vs faded denim). True indigo dye actually doesn't adhere to cotton very well, so areas on denim that crease or or have lots of friction tend to fade quicker. I kinda doubt that they used traditional indigo as they dye for the upper (tends to be expensive and time-consuming), but maybe it was manufactured to not be as colorfast as other leathers, and will fade similar to denim over time? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Also think it's funny that these get indigo references in the product description. but the 3's with actual denim on them don't lol.

i hated these at first. of ALL the things you can do, why almost copy what was already done especially an Original color. what drew me to these was the more you wear em, the more they change. thats what sold me man. i gotta get these!

Being a Man that was a live walking through foot locker seeing the Jordans on the shelf when they first released, this particular color way reminds me of those times and a must cop. I know it may look like certain other releases, but based on the color and quality it’s dope

They look damn good and the concept of blue leather somehow developing a patina is interesting.

Man I'm about 3 years late, but I seen these on GOAT for a decent price. This review definitely helped make my decision. I'm a big fan of the OG color way as well so this is as close as I'm going to get until Jordan Brand does a proper retro.

The Jordan 12s are one of my favorite Jordan shoes, but the ones with the white bottoms are so difficult for me to clean! My Playoff 12s, Obsidians and the orange and grey "Bobcats" 12 white bottoms I cannot get clean. These are nice though.

Picked mine up a couple of hours ago, best 12s since the PSNYs

I think they dont put white laces on these because of the indigo dyed leather. The white laces will become blueish because of the discoloration. they wont get darker, instead, it'll get lighter, just think about your jeans. great review!

Yes definitely play in them! I just ordered a pair to hoop in. The last time i hooped in 12s was back in '04 with the French blues..i play in them for 2 or 3 seasons straight!
