Dear Official War Thunder training video, No, that's not a barrel roll. It's an aileron roll. They're two different things. Kind of like a cinnamon roll and a sushi roll are two different things. They're both called "rolls", but... well, you get the idea. That is all.

I don't use ctrl and shift for elevation, I use W and S. Ctrl and Shift are my throttle... It's the advanced control setup that is programmed into War Thunder, and in combination with the mouse, it works well. Or, if you play sim, use a joystick...

In a different air game there's no way to dogfight without the roll button, but I still can manage a canopy roll just fine

"Roll is not very affective" Roll rate can help you dodge bullets in RB if you're plane has a good rate. Esp the Sabre

I've done some stalling manovers with my Fw190 D9 ive won a 1v2 that way too

I keep Shift-Ctrl for thrust, and use WSADQE for all controls

there is somethings they need to cover like USE YOU'RE RUDDER but aside from that it helped. :)

You can add Pugachev's Cobra move as well. I have tried it at close combat ( less than 450m) and its really effective.

What you described as a "Barrel roll" was really an Aileron roll, and your "Canopy roll" was really a Barrel roll. Come on guys, it's simple.

Watch the plane tutorial on the War Thunder website to probally get better at moving you're plane.

Can you do a tutorial for console controller set ups? I've tried a few of these tips but can't seem to make my acft do it this well.

I sometimes hold at the same time S and A/D and when on Arcade, I set the power of engine on 0%.

Why would you use shift and CTRL for your pitch controle. UseW and S feel much better and works much easier.

Tried any of these: "Pilot knocked out" immediately, every time.
