In this video, we will be looking at the Waterworks Air Relief Valves. Air Relief Valves allow air and other gases trapped inside a pipeline to escape, preventing excessive pressure build-up in a system. They're also designed to allow air back into the pipeline to prevent a pipeline collapsing while under a vacuum. They are an essential component in many industrial systems and processes, whether you’re working in water treatment, irrigation or other industries that rely on the movement of fluids and gases, they are critical to ensure efficient and safe operation of your piping system. So, let’s take a closer look at the features and benefits of the Waterworks Air Relief Valve.
1. Made from PVC, these Air Relief Valves have a lower susceptibility to corrosion. On the other hand, when exposed to direct UV you may experience some gradual deterioration over time.
2. The valve can be disassembled for maintenance or the replacement of internal parts.
3. The gasket and O-rings are EPDM and the valve slide is polypropylene.
4. This valve is designed for use in pipe systems that have varying slopes and extended sections.
5. Waterworks stocks the Air Relief Valve in sizes 15, 20, 25, 40 and 50mm.
6. All sizes are pressure rated to PN10 or 150PSI. These pressure rating are taken at 22 degrees Celsius.
7. They have a maximum temperature of up to 60degrees Celsius.
