It's lovely to hear your thoughts, especially about sound, where you hit the nail on the head. Background noise all but drowns out the sound of my heat pumps/ AC units. And given the pump's cycling, the increased sound is not constant. I doubt anyone will be sitting out at minus five to try to hear above the traffic. Thankfully, the work being undertaken now to the local and national grid network will ensure it is up to the task. Hence the trials. Excellent you are participating in that trial, and have an open mind and give an honest view.
No - avoid. Stop for spells of 90 minutes in winter on top of the vibration and noise. Slow to respond to temperature changes.. Control system complex with very expensive components to replace. Hyped up by makers and sellers.
