👍Same for me The 80's were fun and there were so many great ballads and music❤I love Air Supply My twin sister and I took a 3 hour road trip and her cassette player in the car had Air Supply Greatest Hits stuck in it so we listened to it non-stop
Russell Hitchcock’s voice is one of the best in the business! He just turned 71 and still sounds amazing! A great vocal performance from him you could listen to is their recording of Unchained Melody. But there are so many great ones by Air Supply.
I had that cassette in high school. I remember we once played it over and over on a long bus ride back from away basketball game. Must have driven our coaches nuts (they were both men), but they never said a word. 😁
I got Just As I Am and Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry for my 12th birthday. I was a metalhead, but I wore out Just As I am. And, I too, played the hell out of Greatest Hits to fall asleep.
You are not a disappointment at all either!☺ You are a beautiful young man in every way. Love watching your reactions. I always start smiling and feeling your excitement building. It's great fun when I know an awesome part is coming up, and I'm watching close to see how it hits you!!😎 So glad to have found your channel and so happy for you to be discovering these iconic tunes!😉
Air Supply had SO much great music! They are another band that I think was very much under-rated, but I thought they were great. Anything you pick by them is sure to be good. Thanks for your reaction on this one.
Jim Steinman’s signature type of song. When you listen to a song produced by Steinman you recognized it’s his . The Wagner- In crescendo energy. Passion , heavenly harmony vocals.
hard to pick a favorite one from these guys . all are top shelf and done so well. goose bumps are a sure thing listening to Russels voice takeing it high
Just wanted to echo what a few others have mentioned.Jim Steinman is one of the best songwriters in rock history and most people probably don't know who he is.As has been mentioned,he wrote this song, just about every song Meatloaf ever sang and a lot of other great songs that made other people famous, like "Total Eclipse of the Heart".Almost everyone knows some of his songs, but few people know who wrote them.I think he is deserving of more recognition.Someone should do a retrospective of all of his music.
Love Air supply my favorite 😍😍 band just saw them in concert two years ago at St Charles family arena in St. Louis Missouri just love them 🎶🎶😍😍 I hope they come back to St Louis I go see them again.
1st concert I ever wemt in 1980 or 81 at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium! I was like a junior in highschool and I bought tickets for my best friend and I and we had sappy fun with this group!
@@Military450Veteran This was the first big hit they released in 1976. It was so big in Australia at the time. Fantastic song.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UNRnn_tpToI.html
@@Military450Veteran 1976..their first huge hit..really big over here in Oz. Glad you got so much pleasure from their music .ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UNRnn_tpToI.html
I remember a friend of mine back in the 80s had brought a cassette over of Air Supply and I didn't know who they were but once I heard them I was like Wow I loved them
Air Supply is a soft rock duo, consisting of English singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Australian lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock. They had a succession of hits worldwide, including eight top-ten hits in the United States in the early 1980s.
MAJORITY OF THE 80'S WAS KNOWN AS SOFT ROCK, AND SOMETHING THEY CALLED NEW WAVE ROCK SO LOL :) LOTSAAAA GR8 SONGS FOR SURE, EVEN BY 70'S BANDS OF COURSE JAY!
I was lucky enough to be at a concert these guys gave at an outdoor, mountain resort. Man did they put on a great show!! They were amazing entertainers along with giving us a spectacular concert all night!
This is another classic Jim Steinman song. Air Supply do a fantastic job interpreting this material. You also might want to check out an Air Supply song written by Bruce Springsteen entitled "Sandy". Incredible!
I have always liked Air Supply yet I don't remember hearing this song before. That man can sing, what a wonderful voice!!! Their great accompaniment on the instruments never fails to mix so well with the vocalist and this song is just wonderful. Your reactions are always great and you pick out things I had never noticed before. Take care and stay safe please my friends, love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
Your comment about Air Supply coming back captures the draw of reaction phenomenon for me. The first time you hear these, I heard them, they hear them it is stored in newly formed brain path memory. Dazed and Confuzed chages your present in a profound way when the first not drops. When you hear Gregg Allman say "Toin in up!" You just go "Yeah!" every time. Your bringing the joy and the chance for others to get it or get it back. 🤜🤛👏👏👏
The Jim Steinman factor makes this their best song by quite a margin, but All Out of Love is a good one, just make sure you check out the full album version, not the single edit.
You don't realize back in the day you were ridiculed if you liked Air Supply, so it was a secret guilty pleasure for some guys who liked harder rock/heavy metal
I am so glad he is not paying attention to the video that is accompanying this song (like so many reaction vids do). He is paying attention to the lyrics & music. Like most music videos (not all), it has nothing to do (or very little) with the song or lyrics. It is just the vision of the director of the vid. Just close your eyes & listen to the beautiful voice & the words.
Russell who sings Lead has a voice and has a way of doing songs that to this day can't be matched. There's another version of This Video as well. In the 1980's them, Men At Work, The Little River Band, and INXS were some of the biggest groups to come out of Australia back in the day.
I really enjoy your reactions (including THIS one)! My favorite Air Supply song is "Two Less Lonely People In The World"... so, if you can work it in, I'd enjoy seeing if you like it, too. Have a great day, keep reacting to fantastic music, & stay safe during this pandemic! God bless!
