Unloading the ribbon rail from a unit rail train is an interesting and noisy experience....

Wow that gravel rock train is hooked together withdraw bars instead of couplers I've never seen that many drawbars in a train very interesting peace out AC have a great day

Thanks Allen, but I have to be fair to NS.. They've done a lot of work on this line since they took it over in 2015.. It was your CP boys up there in Canada that let it go to rot.. Haha.

@@Trains21 Wow that's a Long Piece of Iron, I'm sure it will smooth out the ride considerably plus every where there is a seam the rail gets a divot or low spot in it. Thanks for the quick response.

The buffalo line is still called the buffalo line the only change is the dispatchers desk name

Indeed I was.. As you can see, they cut it pretty darn close.. The word over the radio was that this train wasn't going to show up until the next day but wouldn't you know it.. I get comfortable and there they are squawking over the radio.

Has to be some interesting physics to get that train around corners....with all those rails wanting to be straight. ONE thing is for certain, there is a LOT of NYS&W track that would love to be upgraded to this stuff.

Steel rails, when not anchored down to ties, act kind of like pieces of spaghetti! Here’s a good example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3V1Q9Iga_3s.html The only thing is, they move lengthwise a bit while rounding corners and crossing hills and valleys, so they sit on rollers to allow this.
