In this video we demonstrate how to handle a Dual Hydraulic failure. The Simulator throws a curve ball on us at landing. We hope you find it useful, please enjoy.

Nice video. Just FYI, no matter how hard you press the brakes, it's not gonna exceed 1000psi with the accumulator braking. Cheers

The procedure is saying VREF + 25 kt ; FCOM says VREF = VLS in CONF FULL. So that means selecting CONF FULL, setting the VAPP by adding 25 kt to the VLS, then Changing to CONF 3. What's your take on that ?

one question: VREF is not the same as VAPP, am I wrong? In theory, should the VREF be calculated with the QRH? P.S. very good video :)

VREF in CONF FULL is 1.23 × VS of CONF FULL. VAPP is corrected for any failure/s and/or wind.

@@Federico_io Vref is the minimum safe speed at which you should cross the runway threshold, while Vapp is the speed you should maintain during the final approach to account for factors like wind, ensuring safety and stability. Vapp typically includes a margin above Vref to provide extra safety in variable conditions.

⁠@@waypointsaviation FCOM/ PERFORMANCE (EFB)/ LANDING/ LANDING SPEEDS AND DISTANCE DEFINITIONS/ LANDING SPEEDS -VREF is equal to the VLS of CONF FULL. VREF is used to determine the Final Approach Speed (VAAP) when a system failure affects the landing performance. VAPP is the speed of the aircraft when crossing the runway threshold. The flaps/slats are in the landing configuration, and the landing gears are extended. Great and very helpful videos you make out there, thanks a lot for your work and dedication to these, keep up the good work! Safe flights 👍🏾
