In this Microsoft Flight Simulator video, I run through a tutorial on the Airbus H145 Autopilot system. The H145 is easily the best helicopter in Flight Simulator and the Autopilot system is easy to use.
So helpful .. i have been struggling to understand it all and you have made it really simple to the exact level of detail needed for a newbie ..subscribed ..
Excellent tutorial, I've finally found a helo that I can actually fly, thanks to the SAS system...I also own the DCS AH-64D and I've given up trying to fly it, just so difficult unless you invest in an expensive flight joystick and other controls...lol thanks for sharing, I might even get the HPG H160 later on and try the fancy auto takeoff
Great helpful tutorial - thanks! Found your YT channel after searching for any BETA testers preview vids for upcoming release of H160 from HPG (great vid). Explored your channel and found this one too! Super helpful - thanks! Question: Are you using VR or Head/Eye tracking and if so, any recommendations?
Very good video, not too fast, actually easy for me to follow. Thank you! Whenever I try to hover lately with the H145 it seems to be "stuck", so a smooth hover/takeoff/landing is pretty much impossible and takes away the joy of flying for me.. It doesn't immediately react to my inputs, or does inputs even tho I haven't touched my controls. I won't rule out a user problem yet, maybe I've missed something on startup?
Nice Video. I just bought mine yesterday. I have a general question. My problem is the aicraft is doing kind of a backflip really fast 1. when I fly to fast, 2. when I set to much power. Is there anything I can change in the aicraft settings to avoid the backflip?
Thanks for doing these, I bought this ages ago, when I played just before the native heli update came out and it was a pleasure to fly. Just updated to latest version and forgot how to fly it so these vids have been a very nice recap! Do you have the H160 - How does that compare to the H145?
I do have the 160, I was given access to create some tutorials. It’s excellent, but the mission pack makes the 145 better imo. However, there is a mission pack coming for the 160
I recently watched a video about a US chinook that crashed because they had an Ipad in the cockpit, then I see this video about a helicopter which seems to be built to work with an Ipad. I wonder if it is vulnerable to the same thing (Ipad fell out of its holder and got jammed in the pedals).
It could be useful to have some autopilot modes for landing as well. I think he's referring to "DEEP" mode, on the pilot thing. My ears are having trouble with his accent Is he Italian?
@@TacticalPascale Scotland! close. I went there, woman in a café tried to kill me with a huge plate of black pudding and chips. Place called Oban. big'ish woman, white hair, you might know her. Landing, not many videos about spotting a sandy sunlight beach and taking a closer look. How to slow down without dropping out o the sky, enter a hoover, set it down on the beach/ oil rig et all If your too frightened to do one on that, that's ok. I just haven't seen any that cover autopilot assisted landing. I still love a bit o black pudding however as you get old the hearts not up to a plate full of it. aye
I can’t comment on how real it is as I have never flown one irl, however, there is VRS and the handling seems good to me. The 145 is similar to the way you would fly the AH-64 in DCS -point where you want to go, release trim and let the AFCS do the hard work. I enjoy this helo more than any I have flown in DCS (hundreds of virtual Huey hours).
@@TacticalPascale That's awesome. As much as I hate to say it, I am considering leaving DCS for a bit. Its just not really holding my attention too much anymore. In reference to flight models, I was meaning to ask how it felt compared to DCS.
