Hi capt, i still get confused about DA and MDA. As far as i know, MDA is for non precision approaches, and DA is for precision approaches. My question is, why does the chart show LOC(GS out) using DA instead of MDA? Thanks
Gabrielle, I could not place this suggestion (did not work) on your video about the C172 approach... Yes, I think doing a video on radial intercepts would be really handy. I have had several hours sim training, but I was struggling to understand why the Nav 1 was showing a TO flag for 205 degrees with a 8 degree deflection with the needle pointing right when the turn from base on to final had not already been made. It then started to come in when the turn to final was being made. The dial as you look at it had the needle to the right, but you were making a left hand turn and it was coming in. I seem to be mistaken that you simply turn towards the needle (the the right as one looks at the dial)... Could you perhaps clear this misconception up in a VOR intercept lesson?
Hey, many thanks for watching and your comment!! Soon I will start making flight sim videos, and I'll go in deep into that topic! Stay tuned! Have a great day Gabriele
Vat = 1.3 xVso and Vref = 1.3 x Vso . Vref and Vat are same? Also in other websites , I read that The VAT = speed at threshold based on 1.3 times VS0 or 1.23 times Vs1g (Stall speed at 1g load factor) at maximum certificated weight. What is the logic behind Vs1g? thanks for great videos.
Where can I find a table where types of aircraft are separated by columns according to their categories? For example C: B737, A320; D: B747/757 and so on
