Remember when this came out I asked this metal head dude I knew if he saw it and he said he was afraid it would make metal heads look dumb. Whenever I watch this now I wonder if he ever broke down and finally watched it.
Thank you for reminding me where I originally saw the trailer for this when I was a kid! I didn’t see Airheads until years later but I never forgot about seeing the trailer. I eventually found it in HMV when I was in high school It’s been one of my favourite movies since.
Thats rich. I can only imagine how that went. So there was this cool long-haired rock n roll band. They went to the popular radio station that everyone listens to live and demanded that they play their analog reel-to-reel demo. When that lone file got destroyed because they were smoking cigarettes in the radio station's broadcast booth, the only other tangible copy is a cassette, which their GF had. So naturally, they call her home phone, but can't get ahold of her because she is...'out for the night' (in crowded indoor public spaces sharing droplets with strangers while very much NOT physically distancing...). Because she was 'out' and commoners don't have cellphones yet, cops had to find her by blindly going places she might frequent and hope that she might just randomly be there. What a world we used to live in. What a world we live in now. Woof.
This trailer more or less gives away the whole plot, If I had seen this trailer before seeing the film I probably wouldn't have watched. I discovered this film by mistake, it was 20 mins into the film, I noticed some recognisable actors, "Oh look, the guy from The Mummy, The idiot from Waterboy and that Pedo from Con Air", I had no idea what the plot was, but the film was funny. I was only going to watch so much as I needed to go to bed, I ended up watching it till then end, about a year later I saw it on DVD and could not resist, this was probably about 10 years ago. #DontGiveAwayTooMuchInTrailers
I usually don’t like comedies that were made to make people laugh in every scene. I like stuff that’s cerebral and gets me thinking, or is at least believable. And this movie is perfectly believable. This kind of thing can truly happen, with no conflicts with reality in the movie.
