So I joined the "dark side" and bought a Chevy 2500 with a GAS engine in it. Gasp .... yes I know! However, gasoline is $2.60 less PER gallon right now in Northeast PA and I didn't want any of the possible DEF / DEP / Emissions issues with a diesel. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Ram 3500 but we made it into what it was to bullet proof it against such non-sense.
Anyway .... thru much research I found that the main difference between a 2500 & a 3500 was the extra set of helper springs and a few thousand more dollars. Hence the @AirLiftCompany 5000 air bags. The trailers we haul have a SIGNIFICANT amount of tongue weight and cause the truck to squat.
So with the addition of the airbags I figure I'm back to 3500 status and still keep the nicer ride of a 2500!
