Today I am in the cold winter at Alpine Airpark. This is one of the oldest pilot live in community built in the United States. What is fascinating about living in an airpark is that you get to fly in and out of your home. Practically have your airplane parked in the driverway or your oversize garage/hangar.
Having a dream house in an airpark does come with its downside, which is what we'll focus on in this video. We are hanging out with AlphaPapa AKA Greg who flies his TBM 900 in and out of his home at Alpine.

Respectfully, what you are calling impatience to us is seen as a lack of respect for our time. The title says one thing, the video is something different. If this is a series, that should have been clearly communicated upfront and the content of this video reflected in the title. Just my two cents, but in terms of building trust and respect, owning up to your mistakes and showing understanding rather than deflecting will always take you further.

Those fancy devices that cover the wheels when up…. Are simply called landing gear doors… Often made of three parts including inner and outer gear doors… The lower gear door has trouble in deep snow and tall grass… Nice presentation! (Seems to be missing the realities of a hangar home though) I need to work on acquiring a hangar home…. 😃

Love this guy. Reminds me when I started flying SEL at age 65. Most old timer pilots all seemed snarky to me. My first flights were 30 yrs ago, I was a licensed commercial hot air pilot. Then 25 yrs later I purchased a Cirrus. Had heart surgery, lost my medical. Became a motor glider dealer. Owned a hanger at local airport. Oh boy, my neighbors were still Snarky. Wish I had that turbo prop probably several million dollars. Good luck newly.

Do any turboprops have a coaxial rotor? I imagine the propeller would constantly rotate the airplane in one direction like helicopters. Coaxial helis tend to have way less vibration.

I assume most of his flying is single person as well. We really need much lighter 4 seaters that fly jet speed. No reason they have to be over 3 ton. Airparks are interesting, we don't have such here in Europe afaik but with light planes with power surplus and good brakes the needed runway could be very small and make airparks practical many more places. Both size and noise. It's scenic in the rockies but remote af :)

So, not only did this not present the reality of owning a home in an air park, the guy didn't even finish the discussion of towing the darn plane. Instead, he randomly decided to explain, to a channel of airplane enthusiasts, how airplanes fly....and he didn't even do that very well. Needs improvement.

The title of the video has nothing to do with what the video is about. Wow he had to shovel snow from a driveway. Well you do the same for a car. It is videos like that, with misleading titles that push me (and many others) away from watching future videos of yours and eventually just unsubscribing from the channel.
