Music sounds ten times better with it on for some reason. What exactly sounds worse to you, music or something else? Also, what music app are you using?
The fact Apple doesn’t have a feature to force an update feels a bit wild. It shouldn’t be hard to implement it under the Bluetooth settings for AirPods.
its not, when i talked to a apple specialist when i contacted them about this issue, they just said that they wanted it to feel like magic and seamless. All happening in the background. And to be fair, i kinda agree, but there are times when i want to force update my airpods because like my airpods max, them fucks are stuck in a old ass firmware version and "background magic" is not gonna force update it. It has not worked in a long time
it’s crazy because as an employee for an AASP, you can remotely force an update through the AST2 diagnostics toolkit. Absolutely no reason why this can’t be done from the users phone.
Considering a tiny percentage of people are nerdy enough to even think about updates for headphones and how easy it is to just have it done automatically, I'm actually not surprised and it certainly isn't 'wild'
@@leebeeskee 100% agree. Thats why apple does it that way. its all done seamlessly in the background and just works. Gotta give them credit where credit is due
Is it just me or is anyone else’s noise cancellation just like nonexistent…? I feel like I can still hear everything when my AirPods Pro 2 are in noise cancellation mode. As if it’s not enabled at all ☹️
I have the AirPod pro’s and I feel that every update the overall sound gets brighter & brighter, the bass has almost gone compared to when I bought them.
Oh boy I can’t wait to see the patch notes on what they chan… bug fixes and other improvements why am I not surprised typical Apple these days I still wish they would be more active about these AirPod updates
@@zollotech Hi I have a pair of AirPod pros with lightning cable and I’m wanting to know what the latest firmware update is and how am I able to force an update because normally the update in the background and I’m not a huge fan of that because most of the time I’m unaware of it and I really hope that Apple addresses this in iOS 18 because there has to be at least some better way to update them
Just got the update, use my AirPods Pro 2nd gen lightning daily for walking. Immediately noticed a reduction in the quality of noise cancellation, sounds like my AirPods now “leak” noise where before the update, noises were significantly muted. It sounds like my AirPods aren’t fitted correctly now.
Is it possible to go back to the previous version? My AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) seem to be "Leaking", or Noise Cancelation is cutting in and out. I noticed one other comment to this effect, anyone else?
I have Pro 2 with USB-c and so that's why for some time now I've been hearing noise in a quiet environment in contact mode and the ANC can no longer quiet the angle grinder what they could do a few (2 or 3) months ago😢
My AirPods won’t update at all and my right AirPod won’t connect either. This is extremely frustrating and have no idea what to do anymore. I guess I just have to buy new ones
The conversation boost feature is still broken! It’s been broken ever since iOS 17 was released. I hope it will be fixed, one of the best features on the AirPod Pro 2!
Updated my iPods pro (usb-c) to the 6F8 version. Just connected them to my iPhone 15 Pro Max and then closed the case and locked the phone, went to bed. Woke up and they had been updated….simple.
Hi, I don't know if I am saying something wrong but, in my Beats Fit Pro new firmware added the ability to press the button once during a call to disable the mic. You can choose between one click or two clicks to mute the mics and automatically the other command will be assigned to end the call. For what I recall this wasn't an option with previous firmwares.
My AirPods Max “seem” to have better standby drain outside of their cover on this version. I wear them to sleep and hang them off my bedside table when I get up. I put them on an hour ago and they are still at 88%. Normally with my routine they are around 60% by now. They updated themselves without me realizing it. I have a 15 Pro Max on 17.5.1 and an M1 iPad Air running the latest Developer Beta. I charge them my iPhone and iPad via lightning to USB so maybe that prompted the update?
I have AirPods Pro two on the 6F8 firmware level. The volume on my AirPods is changing on its own. Seems to be going up and down. Just have regular transparency mode on. Only had the AirPods for a few weeks, so not sure if it’s the upgrade with a bug or with a bug. Anyone else having this problem?
This is another example that Apple's software is lacking. Why can't we just connect our AirPods to a pc or Mac and use iTunes to force an update is ridiculous.
I have 2 pairs of Airpods Pro, in the last few months, there seems to be no difference between Sound cancelling on and transparency and adaptive. , and when i get phone calls, i accept the call in my phone, but it continues ringing and i can't hear the caller , thats on both pairs. Anyone else had these issues?
Noticed that when bluetooth is off the headphones don't connect immediately or it shows connected but then isn't (not sure about latest firmware). Probably works better if bluetooth is on, but I turn it off or deactivate from control center so I can use the phone speaker in my car rather than playing through car audio when using google maps. I suppose I could delete the phone from the car audio and just have bluetooth on all the time since I don't stream to my car that often via bluetooth since it's buggy due to the car firmware being old and can't be updated.
the AirPods needed an update for the beta. battery was trash and the connection issue was bad going from watch to iPhone to Mac Pro especially with phone calls
iOS 17.5.1, 15 Pro Max. Currently on Air Pods Pro 1st Gen, firmware version 6A321. Attempting to apply updates Wednesday morning. Successfully updated 6A326. This firmware update worked much better than previous updates. 👌
Please please someone tell me how to update the AirPods Max! I bought a set online and they’re 12 versions of firmware old. I can’t seem to get them to update. Before someone says they’re fake, they’re not. Apple confirmed they’re real and even added Apple Care to them for me.
Typically, if they won’t update that means they’re fake. Apple can confirm the serial number is real, but that doesn’t make them real because they’re reused serial numbers many times. unfortunately. If they are real, then all you need to do is make sure they’re charged about 50% connect them to your phone play some music for about 30 seconds then put them back in the case lock your phone and leave them next to each other for about 15 minutes. They should update on their own.
My Airpods Pro 2, after the update 6B34 in December 2023, lost their ANC. I mean almost non-existent, whereas it was splendid earlier. If anyone here faced the same (many people did but anyone in these comments?), any fix you know? Did any of the updates fix it? I haven't updated mine post the incident. Help would be much appreciated. 😊

Hi Aron, I check my airpod pro2 ,Updated. iphone 13 mini and iPad pro M1 on Beta 18.2 the airpods already updated by itself to 6F8, I think the link from iPhone that pairs to the airpods yesterday, Thanks for the info
They can mine are deafening in settings go to eq and set it to loudness then go to head phone accommodations and press balanced tone and set the slider to strong
Apple needs to make an update where you can find AirPods and the case even when they’re dead. I lost one of my AirPods a few weeks ago and I can’t find it. But I know it’s in my house. 🙃😭

Mine updated before I even noticed there is a new update. Imagine an 'update AirPods firmware' button in Settings that automatically clicks itself when there is a new update and the iPhone and AirPods are close together. How is that "stupidly difficult"? 😁
