This was great! I am autistic and flying to Scotland for the first time ever! I'll be honest, the security part is the thing that worries me the most (I just worry about doing the wrong thing). so this video was super useful!! Thanks!!
I'm also on the Autistic spectrum, I have Autism Spectrum Disorder and I get worried about being harassed... Especially when I'm going through airport security, watching this really helps me, this makes me feel more comfortable
I'm flying in 2 weeks from Birmingham to Lanzarote and I'm on the Autistic spectrum. This video is definitely helpful and makes me feel way more comfortable about the whole process☺️
I don't know if I have Autism or not and there is no way to self diagnose, but this is excellent advice and well put to anyone who has never used an airport before. I didn't till I was 43 back in 2019. Not just people on the autistic spectrum.
im on my journy to getting a diagnosis for autism and struggle with the symptoms im going on a 1 week trip to hawii and am super anxious for the plane ride and the security this helped so much thanks
I can't believe that, it really is a terrible thing, I hope the security can protect everyone not hurt them, Maybe that not is a security measures mistake, I think that is a people quality issue.
The security processes very complex, Hope it can protect travelers, don't want to have an airport accident rate is increasing. Someone told me when he was on the plane, one guy was smoking in the toilet. The security process needs to make sure everyone doesn't bring prohibited and restricted items while boarding, which will affect other passengers' safety of flying.
I can only choose not to travel by air. and now days even the train system is becoming more invasive. these things are accusatory and invasive. they do not make me feel one bit safer. they only serve to remind me that the world has become a very dangerous place.
I understand these measures are taken to ensure are safety but why can't items such as mobile phones, watches which can be very expensive be left in your coat, jacket pockets
Exhausted security staff from working ridiculous hours on just above minimum wage . Harassed by dictatorial management, government agencies and appallingly rude and stupid customers. It’s a wonder that they do such a marvellous job under such terrible conditions.
How marvelous? Too many items get undetected and are self defense items. Kubatons, piano wire, wooden daggers, tactical pens.................................
Maddison highly don’t recommend haha. i had brought my school bag on a flight to Phoenix, Arizona and had i didn’t know i had a bottle of VS perfume in my bag. It went through two times and the TSA guy couldn’t find it. I was 12 at the time and too young to be patted down. Then, my mom ended up getting patted down. They said we were okay, but let’s just say my mom was pretty mad at me...
@@axelfoley1406 if i were a terrorist or psycho and I brought 2 bottles of overproof duty free rum on board with the intended use being to smash them and set fire to the plane whilst furiously stabbing people in the throats shouting alawakba! i really don't think a paper thin plastic bag and sticker would stop me, nor would I be concerned about the legal consequences of opening the'security seal' sticker when I have no intention of the plane landing with anybody left alive including myself. if your little security bag is so safe why can't they put that 2 inch blunt nail file they confiscated from your mum in a bag so she can carry it on board without killing anyone? the answer is greedy ...(merchandising)... not safety. thats why water in departure lounge is 5x the price
Not 'anything' metal. Jeans have metal buttons and zippers, and bra straps have metal closures, and no-one's taking them off (unless they're drunk). And dental implants, surgical screws, and medical replacements can have metal in, but they don't expect old people to rip out their hip replacements and stick 'em in a tray. Not yet anyway.
'personell are often screaming on the top of their lungs making sure they can be heared on the other side of the airport. they are often rude and have a glazed look in their eyes 'they are not zombies technically but they look like em. dont be afraid but under no circumstance try to feed them cookies'
Wake Up People! Just say NO! I will not let you irradiate me or grope me! I do not fly commercially anymore! If most of us refuses their disrespectful treatment, then they would reconsider their unconstitutional behavior. You are all a bunch of sheeple! You disappoint me. Was my comment uncalled for or to harsh?
How is it unconstitutional? There are people on this planet who literally make it their life's mission to kill people by blowing up or hijacking planes. I'd rather be searched along with everyone else than die.
@@samcooke343 , For your information they don’t just check for guns knives and explosives. They’ll take anything from you that you have that they think might be illegal and they will investigate you. If you have a bottle of pills can you put aspirin in an unmarked bottle they’ll pull you aside and you’ll be in trouble. They will confiscate cash just because they can that’s just the beginning of what they’ll do and have done and will continue to do so long as people like you willingly allow yourself to be miss treated.
The main reason Birmingham airport is rated one of the worst airports in Europe is simply because they hire the wrong staff. Most of the security staff are either overweight to complete the job or can’t speak a word of English. It will never improve by throwing money at the place. Get the correct qualified individuals to do the job.
