It was an awesome serial...the Tittle song was sung by Suresh wadkar.. These were the lyrics... mostly...if my memory serves me right . सदियों से सतयुग तक, बरसो से कलयुग तक, होके रही है, होके रहे गी। ना कोई समझे , ना कोई जाने, आखों से जिसने देखी वोही माने, होनी ...अनहोनी... Hope this is telecast soon .it was telecast in the year 1987

Unbelievable! Remembered my grand golden childhood days. Those days of India were really golden. Whenever I see DD serials like The World of Survival, Chunauti, Subah, tears roll my eyes. I was searching for this serial for years (now got the name of anchor Monica). Those days of India were "India before IT." Thanks a lot for uploading the video..

I was 3 or 4 years old when this program came but I still remember some snippets of it. That was golden period of Indian Television which unfortunately is no more. The current generation has been eluded of such masterpieces.
+Devendrasinh N Ambaliya Ambaliya Wonderful to receive your comment about our programme. Yes, you are right, it is rather sad that Television programming in India has become very poor in spite of so many channels. To my mind, the of of the reasons for this sad state of affair is that Television in India has become "business" and has not remained a profession any more. The other reason is rampant corruption in Doordarshan. The Government is largely responsible for this change.Sadly, even we were not encouraged to continue with this programme.
+Devendrasinh N Ambaliya Ambaliya serial was good and use to give lot of information i searched online to find it but its not there just few episodes today i have knee meniscus tear i had seen this serial when i was in school and they had shown an army man who can put bones together i just need to find that where is it as they had shown on the serial if someone can find their address or call me on 9900641663 thank you please
+Syed Jalaluddin Dear Syed Jalaluddin, I think you are mixing up with some other serial that you may have seen around the same time. We did not have any story with an army man explaining about bones. However, you are right, we have only three episodes uploaded on youtube. For your bones..may I suggest that you include extra quantity ofslightly roasted HALDI in your food or just take half a spoon with milk at night. In addition to this, you could include Urad daal in your diet...atleast three times a week. This may slowly heal your bone problem. Best Pramod Mathur
Mr Pramod Mathur thanks but as far as i remember they had shown on tv about the army man who does some miracle healing by which he learnt from his forefathers who puts some leafs and ties even the tip of joints he can assemble for me i have knee meniscus its not bone thank you
Just watched this, took me back down memory lane. During my childhood DD was only channel we had and we really had many iconic serials back then.I used to watch each and every one.Whereas I hardly watch TV nowadays due to mind numbing negative serials and repetitive news. I remember this one fondly. I read from comments below that you have only 3 episodes, are the others lost or you still have them in original format?
It is Amazing still, I am watching this Episode, Believe me I have grown up watching this show. I was in school and it was one of my favourite show and the host was also my favourite great work done by Mr. Parmod Sir. Thanks a lot
Dear Iftikhar Feroz, It is very gratifying for us as producers of Aisa Bhi Hota Hai that people of your generation have pleasant memories of your innocent childhood. Thank you for kind words. It has been over 30 years and we feel happy that we continue to receive messages from our audience of that time... Have a nice day dear Feroz. Love Pramod
Thank you for your comment. I am happy that you liked our serial when it was telecast in mid 80s. Yes, those were the days...simple, honest and rooted in local ethos. I also wish we could bring back those days..unfortunately globalisation has taken away our soul while our economists watched helplessly. only MONEY has become the bottomline...humanism is lost for ever. Very sad......
As a kid I used to love this show...aisa bhi hota hain..the hindi version of tell me how..and the hostess..loved her :) thank you RU-vid for uploading this video and refreshing my childhood memories :)
Lovely. This beautiful lady had maximum marriage proposals I still remember it had come in The Times of India. Many people loved the serial bcoz of her. Nostalgia. I m not sure but the serial used to be on Sundays

This used to be our favourite show on DD in those days. My family used to love it. "aisa bhi hota hai " had become our phrase in routine life ! Thanks for uploading these videos. A must watch show for today's generation.
My dear, I can truly understand your feelings. We wanted to give the younger generation something that they would never forget in their lives. We did it. But, the commercial forces were and still are much stronger than creative people can handle. We tried our best to come back with another series of episodes but did not get any funding. Also, due to rampant corruption in Doordarshan we were not given a slot to continue the series. The nation now believes only in money not culture.
One of the top favs and an unforgettable memory of golden Doordarshan days.. Monica Lal's charm added a lot of value to some very good stories.. Some of the Childhood memories are so strong, that they would not fade away for years and Life.. This was once such a memory! Thanks a lot of entire team of ABHH for a superb show! I would be interested in buying the DVD too..
Dear Mathur Sir, Seriously its very very late but thank you for being part of our wonderful phase of life when we grew up watching never to be forgotten serial like 'Aisa bhi Hota hai' . i saw ur statement on ur bad experience with doordarshan , but i would like to remember the best part and it was the golden era of doordarshan when programmes of 'Aisa Bhi hota hai was there. once again thank you for a splendid work and apologies for the delayed thanks all the best for your endeavors

really DD was amazing without corrupt, not brain washing peoples mind but instead give lots of knowledge and nice music...like chayageet, chitrahaar, and many more.....that was a golden era..
Dear Virag Mishra,Yes indeed the programmes that were being telecast on Doordarshan during that period were very good. However, that does not mean Doordarshan was amazing...people who produced those programmes were amazing. You will be sad to know that in spite of our repeated requests, our programme was not given an approval / extension for further episodes...from top to bottom...everyone employed in Doordarshan were corrupt. We refused to compromise our dignity.
Thank u so much for giving us these golden moments.... I hope television can go back to being simple and innocent. We all miss these days. Aisa bhi hota hai, surabhi, Malgudi days, Lohit Kinare, Katha Sagar.... Thank you so much Mr. Pramod Mathur. Today, I aspire to be a film maker. I am working on my first commercial film...but I someday would like to direct or produce something that will take everyone of us down that nostalgic lane. - Anshuman Majumdar ( CINIERA )
Execuse me fotnmember. Surabhi was no where on the scene at this time and perhaps till a few years after. Since our programme was not renewed by DD for reasons best known to them...Surabhi tried to grab the same audience..I don't know what was their rating.. Dear Shiraz Hashim, Thank you for nice words about our programme. You will be surprised to know that the programme was telecast in 1987-88...almost 29 years back...it is really gratifying that your generation still remembers the programme and cherish the memories of that period. It is unfortunate that our profession went on a down spin and we simply watched it going down. Market forces and rampant corruption did not allow us to either continue producing the programme then or even revive it in later years. Unfortunately, the state has not provided any space for professionalism and people like us. Have a nice day Pramod Mathur

Dear Nerraj Jain, Thank you for your nice comment on our programme "Aisa Bhi Hota Hai". It feels good to know that viewers remember this programme even today. Yes, it is unfortunate that Indian Television moved to become a business, entirely driven by ad. revenue without any consideration for the content...at that time there were may professionals who wished to produce real TELEVISION CONTENT...but they were discouraged by Doordarshan in many ways...like corruption and bureaucracy...
Dear V Khawani, Thank you for your comment on our programme "Aisa Bhi Hota Hai". I am glad that you still remember the programme...it will always be relevant for all generations to come. This is because "THIS IS TELEVISION" and not what we are watching these days... senseless programmes made cheaply to collect advertising revenue. Programming for television is no more a profession ...it has been converted as business and an industry just to become rich without contributing any kind of values.
In our school most of the boys (including yours truly) had a huge crush on Monica Lal... Most mother's dreamt of a BAHU like Monica... Nostalgia.. I guess now she is settled in Switzerland...

it's really such a fun remembering our good old days. scarcity of entertainment in those days was more better than flood of today. i am creating a database of all those good serials which made my childhood memorable. thanks for uploading this episode. i am in search of "CHEKHOV KI DUNIYA". those small stories were great in entertainment. if someone has, kindly upload them. regards, Himanshu Gaur.
These days teleserials are dragged to 500 or 600 episodes as long as sponsors are willing to pump money into them. The moment sponsors lose interest in a serial, you'll find that it ends abruptly, with the story hurrying towards the finishing line with many loose ends in it that are never resolved. In other words, the script / story has no importance these days. All that matters is the sponsors and their money :( So keep up the good work Sir. We need a revival of the good old DD days now.
Dear Dipankar Das, Thank you for your comment on our programme that you watched as a child. Thanks for uploading this Mr. Pramod Mathur. That was very kind of you. I used to watch this as a kid growing up in India. Sunday afternoon was the broadcast time, if I remember correctly. I still remember quite a few amazing facts that were telecasted in this program. The entire family used to wait for Sunday TV, especially us kids...The special Sunday telecast used to begin with Mickey & Donald Show at 10 AM and would continue with more mature serials up till one or two in the afternoon( I used to hate the National integration of Music, I think that was the name of the show where various top musicians performed on a live stage but my father used to like it ) Then it was lunch time and we would wait for the sunday movie....Thats the happy memory of TV I still have and cherish. My favourite program on the one and only DD. We did learn a lot of new and unusual stuff from the show. Of course, Monica's bubbly personality made it great fun to watch. Nowadays, it's too easy for kids to get info on anything they want from their phones and in milliseconds. We had the best years of our lives as we got to see everything evolve... From rotary dial phones, valve Radios, b/w CRT TVs, Vinyl records, cassette tape to VHS and so on.... Awesome journey made better with such TV programs. Like old good friends....unforgettable!

Years ago, i would sit with my entire family to watch this show. Ms Monica used to be so natural and bubbly while presenting this show. Such a wonderful serial and i am glad is seeped past the corrupt people and we saw something which we can associate with quality. Atleast something is better than nothing. Mr Mathur. pls keep sharing stories of the brilliant times.. We all would love to read about the time and your experiences. These days it is all non sense and low grade stuff which is being aired. DD should start a survey and should listen to the people.. ESP through the Internet.. its a powerful medium and must be understood as savy/active people's tool.
I will explore the possibilities of putting all the 13 episodes on RU-vid...let us see...don't expect anything from DD...recently I had a bad experience with them...they have no money or intention of producing good content.... One day I will write down the experiences while producing this programme that has been appreciate by two generations... I have not seen one anchor on Indian TV as good as Monica was...she was the trail blazer of Indian TV. Unfortunately, we could not retain her for continuing more such programmes.
Pramod Mathur I will eagerly be waiting for those memoirs. Maybe a book will do good work? Just like how Bishen Singh bedi has spoken to kejriwal to do something about the corruption in Delhi Cricket Assoc.. Maybe 'somebody' will do same for DD? Cuz we are loosing on heritage and values. there is a whole generation which has not seen content like the kids from the 90s did. That is a huge loss already and something which we cannot afford to keep repeating.
Beautiful ....This serial used to be telecasted somewhere around 1987 or 1988 on Sundays 12 pm Followed by Faster Fene ( Role played by Sumit Raghavan , now an established actor) and then Bheem Bhawani ( a comedy serial by Ashok Kumar and Anup Kumar) correct me if am wrong
