A lot of actors just wait for their turn to talk...Malkovich actually listens.
@dpalmerama
@dpalmerama 2 года назад
It's because he used to be deaf.
@teslagirl1
@teslagirl1 2 года назад
@@dpalmerama Interesting... but not every former deaf person is a good listener. Having experienced deafness MIGHT make someone have more empathy, better manners, genuine interest...but it is definitely not a guarantee. I knew a girl who was mostly deaf whose parents spoiled the crap out of her during her deaf years, during and after her surgeries and even after she was a fully hearing person again. She routinely stomped all over every conversation in her earshot...even those she wasn't part of. She listened to no one and talked over everyone...peers, elders, children, strangers, EVERYONE. She did it at her sister's wedding. During the vows. Her sister married a profoundly deaf man who was a lovely man, sympathized a bit with spoiled girl because he thought parenting was to blame and was very forgiving so spoiled girl got second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth chances...with predictable results. I truly think Malkovich has lovely manners and it isn't just his personal history. But I love learning that about him. He's a favorite actor of mine.

The interaction John Malkovich just explains about when people see him is exactly what happened when my boyfriend who was working at Ace Hardware saw John Malkovich. John was getting some part to fix his daughter's faucet while she was attending Reed college! He was wearing pajamas when he came in, and I guess was really kind to all the folks working there. I love the idea of famous people like him, walking to the hardware store in PJs to fix his daughter's stuff. It's just something that any good dad would do.

Oh get a grip. Everything guests on these shows are asked is scripted. Every guest has certain stories they want to tell or certain jokes they want to work in to their appearance. The pretend questions are just a method of setting them up for the joke or the story they want to tell. It's a very transparent ruse designed to make you think the guests are all these quick witted charming people that always have something entertaining to say.
@logananderson7881
@logananderson7881 3 года назад
@@Rowgue51Yes, many shows have some prescripted questions but not all of the questions and responses are. You need to have some organic conversational talk to keep things moving. Based on how he was silent afterwards, I don't think that was scripted. People tend to ask Aisling questions about her romantic life. Women comedians, in general, are asked more about their families and less on their content and stories. Male comedians do not need to dodge family questions nearly as much as women do. That was what I was getting at.

@@DB-xo6xh he's prime realastate for a impressionist to count on. Not too many actors in Hollywood left that has that destint voice that can stand out over 100 others. Poor Morgan Freeman and Pacino. They've wore those ole fellows out since they've been around for almost 50 years. Pacino of coarse was a late bloomer.

I met Christopher Walken when i was a young kid under 10 years old (1978 i think it was) Every day for about 4 years (school days only) i would come home from school for my lunch and on the way home i would go get some shopping (newspapers, rolls, milk ect) for this old lady who lived at the bottom of my street, turned out that old lady was Christopher Walkens gran who was very old and housebound and living on her own. One day i went up to her door to get the cash for her shopping and Christopher Walken answered the door lolol. I actually had no idea who he was at the time, but he came up and met my mum and dad and they told me later who he was (my mum and dad had no idea i was doing this old ladies shopping every day for 4 years.

Love the way she thinks calmly on her feet, for example when he asked if she was dating out there, and where she answers I'm not dating you.. I thought I was on the show by merit.. 👌 and how she keeps calm talking about awkward stuff when it got abit awkward (eventhough she spoke much about it) and he quickly asked another question. I wish I could be more like that like her.
