I start the video by fitting the drivebelts in the correct sequence and then attempting to test the deck.
I explain how the motor receives its voltage. You have a 14V supply from the mains transformer. This goes through a 250mA fuse and then onto a diode rectifier. The now DC 14V comes off of the main board and goes to the lever arm microswitch on the side of the cassette carriage. Pressing this switch energises the motor.
The motor has its own controller built into the motor itself.
I show where to measure voltages and how to troubleshoot no rotation from the motor.
