Thanks for posting these videos. I have an athletic build so I have a Tier1 holster carrying my G19 and spare mag at the 12 o'clock position and can generally get away with it, whenever I dress casually. I'm grew up in a prep school with a dress code and corporate suit guy, so I'm not crazy about having my shirt untucked all the time. (I call it my Ivy League tactical hobo look.). Inspired by your videos, I tried ordering their wedge pack, hoping to make the holster more comfortable and make it more concealable. Downsizing from G17 to G19 helped with most of my printing issues. I haven't downsized further to a single stack Glock (their number system drives me crazy), but I'm sure that will help even more, especially with more tailored clothing. While their wedges helped somewhat, their instructions weren't that helpful - barely any came with them, so I just experimented based on your videos. I appreciate that you try to help viewers spend their money wisely using socks and rubber bands, but ultimately I am going to order one from PHLster for my Tier 1 holster. (I have another Tier 1 for my G17, which I hardly use anymore, but will try to customize that too, at some point.) Separately I had ordered the Enigma 2 years ago for my G17, but still haven't had the time to put it together. If the wedge pack works well for my Tier One, then I will likely order another wedge pack for the Enigma, after I put it together finally. The new holster looks even better, but I don't want to be like my friends and have a box full of unused holsters. Hopefully, you have a model for my next/subcompact handgun... The product education that you and the owners put together are phenomenal on educating concealed carriers on the issues we face, without being sales-y. Keep up the great work! At some point, you may have covered every conceivable issue for every body type and clothing style...!
Question that I feel was touched on but I need a bit more claification- in terms of wedge size and below the belt printing Is it best to reduce the size of the wedge depending on concealment? Or prioritize concealment and wear a longer shirt? With a large wedge (that creates the best concealment) it creates an unnatural shape below my waist
That's entirely up to your discretion. If you're carrying a gun that exceeds your concealment sweet spot then you may ultimately wind up needing to use more dramatic measures in order to conceal it such as using a larger wedge and a longer shirt. You can also check out our below the belt printing video for tips on how to reduce below the belt printing.
