I'll retry without typing any brand names. I was asking if a cheap digital to analog converter ($14) would solve the problem of connecting to a tv. It seems this amp, and another that shall not be named, with a separate dac are the most cost effective ($105 for both), versatile, powerful chipset class D amps out right now. Other amps with the optical connection built in cost more and have less power, from what I can tell.

@@gabrieltechreviews8185 I'm thinking about trying out this amp and a Prozor dac. I've got 3 sets of speakers sitting around, collecting dust. I just don't typically have positive experiences with things that seem too good to be true and these little class D amps are new to me

My husband vented his Aiyima A07 pro, He also added heatsinks to the voltage regulators, upgraded the heatsinks, swapped out the 50V cap. Swapped all the op-amps to Sparkos SS3602.

Optical is digital. You need a DAC in front or an optical to RCA converter... This is an amplifier.
