Boxing fans loved to hear the stories of how driven Holyfield was. He was constantly outsized but never outmanned. Ms. Johnson is clearly a very intelligent lady.
I saw this amazing woman in Cali. I was somewhere and she was in a car at light. I looked at her and pointed. That point like "are you"... She nodded her head. It was super chilled. ❤️
She's an example of why there's never been any REAL legislation to fix the school SYSTEM in America.... They would shake to their cores to have to compete with 30 million or more like her; with this much realization, self worth, and discernment.
Such a beautiful soul this lady has , and a smile that makes the dark clouds part.. you can tell that bad things better not come near her. I love her, everytime I see her in an interview, she just appears to be very intelligent, and also positive. She's also very talented as well. It's just so freshing to see someone on RU-vid, or any of the "Social Media" platforms with substance

I'm so glad that he did not stop or interrupt her for what he wanted to do or ask as she was sharing full on wisdom. It's rare that interviewers embrace wisdom like this. Sometimes, interviewers have the audience, including themselves, missing out on plenty that they have inside of them to give.
I watched the entire video. Shawn Perez, this is one of your best interviews. Her spirit is amazing and captivating. First, it's Buttermilk Bottom located on Fair Street a block away from Spelman and directly in the middle of Clark's campus (almost burned to the ground after the Rodney King verdict, but that's another story). Yes, AJ was Miss Maroon and White aka Miss Morehouse in 1984. I was Morehouse student at the time. I watched her perform/dance on stage on several occasions. I walked around campus with my trusty Minolta 35mm and have photos of AJ during performances in Morehouse's ML King Chapel. Captured a rare photo of her atop her court's homecoming float as Miss Maroon and White. (Too, I have rare photos of Janet Jackson signing autographs at Rich's in 1983, though that has absolutely nothing to do with this video.) Anyway, House Party was a natural for her talents. She's always been high energy and great to see all her success. Holyfield? Who did he not date in the A? Well...
Buttermilk Bottom is in 4th Ward Atlanta, (around Civic Center). Fair St. Bottom is near Spellman. I grew up right there in John Hope Home in the late 70s and 80s. Thanks for Reppin' Fair Street. ✌🏾
@@MrWilson1972 I stand corrected (as a Morehouse Man should when wrong). Didn't grow up in the A. Moved here for college. Was told Buttermilk Bottom was on Fair at University/John Hope Homes, but obviously Fair Street had its own Bottom. Every tub has to sit on its own bottom!
@@focusedchick lol I understand completely. Im doing the same thing for all the NFL stadiums. (24 so far)One day at the motorcycle shop. Friend asked me where I'm riding to that particular summer. I told him about the NFL ,he was like man that's cool. Why don't you do it for the HBCU'S! At first I was like maybe next year. But I thought about it...i had two here in my backyard here in Raleigh NC. And since then it has taken a life of his own. I hope to be done by next year.(California) Getting all of Ga,AL,LA,Miss and two that's in Missouri this summer. Also flying to St Thomas in March to get that one. The experience as been unbelievable ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
@@blackice3395 I bet it's been wonderful. Sounds like a freeing experience! My parents actually met at Harris-Stowe (one of the MO HBCUs). I was born and raised in STL. I also spent a lot of time at Lincoln (the other MO HBCU) while in college. Love them both. One of my BFFs went to the one in St. Thomas but I didn't get a chance to visit her. So many to visit. It'll happen. I have added inspiration now. 😄 Anyway, I wish you the best on your NFL stadium/HBCU tour. I'm sure you'll have plenty of stories to tell when you're done.

@@blackice3395 Our history/culture is definitely rich. I wish we valued it more. I love watching HBCU bands (JSU, Southern, Bethune Cookman, Grambling, FAMU, etc.) and just marvel at all the beautiful black youth doing so many positive things at these schools. I hadn't heard about the history of the San Antonio HBCU but looked it up. Is it St. Phillips? That's an incredible story!
I’ve been to the slave dungeons in Ghana, you will never understand the impact of slavery on a culture until you see it and feel the pain of our ancestors. Ghana has a forgiveness ceremony for that travesty.

She is old school. We are almost the same age. So same generation. Dated means smashed/nothing serious/ kicked a couple of times. We would say “he/she was my boyfriend/girlfriend”. If it’s just a fling, we say dates haha she ain’t slick
She is absolutely right about the family not supporting your dreams (especially our folks)......it's a lonely road (don’t look for company) when you start achieving serious things (or dreams that everyone has).
