@@jboww2121 1) you don’t know how that journey webt and how long we waited for surgeries (FYI-he was 20 by the time he got his top surgery) 2) not your problem not your place to judge! 3) not that I owe anyone an explanation but your comment got me kinda heated so part of a medical journey is your mental health and it’s started with counselling and a full psychiatric evaluation with professionals who deal with transgender folks. I didn’t just take my ten year old into a dr office and demand too surgery. Also, I knew from the moment my child could talk and walk that there was something, I didn’t know what but there was something and when he came out it put it all together. I wish people would ask rather than assume I made irreversible physical changes to my 5th grade child. There are so many layers to a person fully transitioning, way more than most people realize. So please, next time ya want to comment about how someone parents THEIR child, think first if you know the whole story from start to finish, if you just have a summary than you don’t know the whole story. Not trying to be a b***h, just been defending my son, myself and my husband for over a decade about this and it throws ne into mother bear mode. Didn’t mean to come off nasty, sorry I stand up for the families of trans youth and I do it ferociously!
