MDNA made me a fan of Madonna and I like her albums since 2012. For me Madame X, Rebel Heart and Madame X are her best albums . Because I like this Madonna
One of my favorite albums of hers, but I always love seeing your opinions. Definitely not a play through each song album, but some of them have stuck all these years later. I’m addicted hits for me.
old comment, but here I am. ha. same here, I never play the album in total, but several songs solo on a playlist is awesome. for some reason Superstar sticks with me as the beat just is fantastic. Love Spent is good, and I Fucked Up is a good go to.
@@winnied87 masterpiece should have been modified and made it raw the album version is like normal but not good enough for me,or have it reworked for masterpiece
Mdna and hard candy may be madonna’s worst body of works but the two world tours supporting these two album became one of the most successful world tours in the history of music, that’s how iconic she is ahahaha
You know what's funny, is that if Pharell didn't ruin Hard Candy, just like he ruined Motomami by ROSALÍA and positions and also sweetener by Ariana Grande, all of these albums had a lot of potential to become iconic bodies of work. Edit: he now has ruined Renaissance by Beyoncé as well
@@Avrusr3948 there are parts that were extremely unneccessary, parts that could be cut from the songs and no one would complain. Agree or not, he doesn't care about the artists he makes music for. All his songs for other artists, except ...Baby one more time by Britney, sound like they were made with 0.5$ beat percussions, he cheapens a lot of songs
ranking the album tracks: 12. superstar - 5/10 (i liked this song a lot when the album was first released, but it’s definitely gone down on my list over time) 11. some girls - 6/10 (a song that was basically handed to madonna mostly completed but i think this one is really catchy, the chorus in particular) 10. i don’t give a - 6/10 (this song isn’t bad, and i don’t mind nicki minaj’s contribution here) 9. give me all your luvin - 6/10 (if this song hadn’t been a single i might be a little less critical of it but it pales in comparison to the legacy of madonna’s past lead singles like like a virgin, like a prayer, erotica, secret, frozen, music, etc. i really don’t know if they actually thought this was the best choice to lead the album with or if they just released it to thematically coincide with the superbowl performance since it already got so much exposure) 8. i’m a sinner - 6/10 (this one’s cool, i think it’s pretty catchy) 7. turn up the radio - 7/10 (i like this song because it’s feel good and fun which is the essence of a lot of classic madonna songs) 6. love spent - 7/10 (i really like this song a lot) 5. falling free - 8/10 (the only true ballad on the album, i think it’s a beautiful song) 4. i’m addicted - 8/10 (this is a cool song) 3. gang bang - 8/10 (i really like this track musically) 2. masterpiece - 8/10 (this song grew on me over time) 1. girl gone wild - 8/10 (i like this song but to me the production is a little too edm generic)
@@ethypoo Maybe that's why this album is titled MDNA since it is like a reference to MDMA, which is a drug that gives ecstasy so it makes a lot of sense what you said.
every albume after confessions on a dancefloor has been a mess. i wish she would just stop putting music out its ruined her reputation as a icon most people dont see her as an icon no more they just think shes cringe
Unpopular opinion but I like this album and think it will be viewed more favorably as time goes on and the 2012 EDM era becomes more nostalgia-inducing for more people. MDNA is very reflective of that it has a lot of fun, poppy songs that are true early 2010s gems. And the tour was amazing! IDGAF!
@@HaIfaxa It can sound nostalgic. Any genre can sound nostalgic. Atleast the type of edm that we heard from ZEDD , LADY GAGA ,CALVIN HARRIS, SKRILLEX. Edm era was altho 10 yrs ago, it's still evolving. For example : house music that we hear more today: TIESTO , MEDUZA, JOEL CORRY.. ETC. It's been used in pop. Hyperpop which is basically pop+edm will be more relevant. Edm will keep on evolving. Ever heard of eletropop.
I feel like because she got the Super Bowl gig she was rushed to finish this album to meet the dateline. That’s the only thing that makes sense. (I did enjoy the album at that time. Most of it)
I think one of the biggest problem with this album is the track list. Its so loud and no breather at all until the 11th track! Sure most of the songs are mediocre for Madonna but somwhere in the messiness of it is a bittersweet musical story. Personally I use this tracklist and I believe flows well with only 11 tracks: 1. Girls Gone Wild = confidence 2. Bang Bang = unhinged rage 3. Im Addicted = euphoria 4. Give Me All Your Luvin = sassiness 5. Some Girls = insecurity 6. Masterpiece = love 7. Love Spent = despair/ tension 8. I F*cked Up = confession/ break up 9. Superstar = silliness 10. Turn Up The Radio = escapism 11. Beautiful Killer = confesses she is still in love with her "beautiful killer" who eventually kills her, ending the album... THE END!
@@soaribb32 thanks. I feel it flows better this way. The first 5 tracks are rebellion after a breakup. The trío of Masterpiece, Love Spent and I F'd Up which is the core of the album and of her break up. It ends with her escaping on TUTR and taking her new lover mentioned in Superstar. It ends in a BANG when she admits to still loving Guy Ritchie, her "Beautiful Killer", who eventually "kills" her, hence the gunshot at the end.
Well, it was made very early in the 2010s and this type of music was very much the tea of the time. It perharps didn't age that well but it still slaps if you're on the right mood. Sometimes I feel like we forget Ajayll is not a gay man in her late 20s too, I mean... She was obviously not the target audience for this.
I may be alone on this, but I love "Turn Up the Radio"! Fun song, makes me want to get out, take a long drivet, turn the radio up and get lost and be carefree in the moment. Takes me away whether in the car, office or at home. Just a fun video, she's beautiful in it too!
Madterpiece would have exisyed without the MDNA album. It was written specifically for the movie W.E., directed bt Madonna and won the Golden Globe for Best Song written for a Movie.
@@mattarcega3102 I mean, Gaga, Miley, Christina, Demi, Carly Rae, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kelly, Lana, Billie, Melanie, most pop stars have great vocals it’s just that Madonna chooses to use that horrid ass auto tune. She can at least tone it down a little because she has a pretty enough voice
@@whalewolf7477 tbh i think it was just sticky and sweet and mdna that had weak vocals. rebel heart and madame x was an improvement but her choreography had weakened a bit
It’s my favourite Madonna album. I know it’s not her best but it’s a great EDM album but it definitely took 4th billing behind the SuperBowl, the tour and her movie. Fav tracks are :Girl Gone Wild Gang Bang I’m Addicted Some Girls Masterpiece Only songs I don’t really care for are I’m A Sinner & I Don’t Give A.
I listened this album maybe 2-3 years ago and I didn’t like it, I didn’t enjoy it at all. When it was released I was maybe 12 years old and I don’t understand the music. Nowadays, I would probably said that it was trash. The tour was unique but I barley remember it
My favourite album by Madonna. My first album as a fan. I don't give a damn fuck about her attitude toward MDNA. She don't like this album from the very beginning.
I’ve never really like reaction videos. But Boris on the other hand just nails these video reactions out of the park. She’s so into it then I can’t help laugh and enjoy her positive energy so much. She’s so fun and awesome doing these. I absolutely love her reaction of songs off albums. Too bad we didn’t get to see her react to Madonna’s debut album.
I love this Album! I’m Addicted is underrated gold! Turn Up The Radio and Love Spent are great jams. GGW is a totally addictive. Gang Bang is hauntingly hilarious. I don’t give a and Some Girls are perfect middle of the road jams and superstar is cute. The opening track GMAYL is the intruder that ruined the whole thing from the get go here. This album also marks the beginning of her relying too heavily on a sea of opportunistic young producers. The girl who’s reacting to these doesn’t understand enough about the context of Madonna’s life and career to really be able to judge her work but she’s super entertaining.
i found it just for fun, you know, nothing move me, when you listen to an EDM track, you just want to enjoy in it and wild with it, like high as fuck, but it didn't move everthing just for the entertaining, just for the club and discotheque, i don't found it has a good message and art
I can’t rank her albums of the 1980s and 90s for her first sevens are so damn amazing. Now how I rank her 2000s and 2010s album from worst to best. My opinion has changed for Madame X as in it’s quite interesting and I kind of like it. MDNA (awful although there’s at least 2-3 tracks I like) Hard Candy (not great but slightly better but still bad) Music (ok and some good tracks) Madame X (interesting I kind of like it and it really grows on me it’s a good album) American Life (great album) Rebel Heart (wow this is really good) Confession On The Dance Floor (AMAZING!!!! Give me that 1970s disco in a advanced way. Man it’s so good)
Nothing can get worse than Madame x. The era with The most underwhelming album, most tasteless looks, and a cheap tour. At least the MDNA era had a magnificent tour and a groundbreaking SB performance.
@@никитадобрынин-з9и i think madame x has powerful messages but the production just overshadows it a bit but she’s still made her mark and she’s still a pop icon, and no matter how bad the album is that won’t change who she is as a star
MDNA is clearly a Lady Gaga trend/diss album. Let's not forget it's the album after Born This Way. I like the record cuz works its purpose on being a party starter.
@@bastian_x.x I KNOW RIGHT! And I have a theory that Living for Love is a "diss track" about Applause. Listen a mashup between these songs, they complement each other.
I’ve loved Madonna as my #1 with Frozen and the Ray of Light album since 1998. I don’t even speak of MDNA or Madame X lol. Like I’m sorry, but they’re the only albums that I only like 2-3 songs and can’t stand the rest. They both also reek of “the label pushed her to a certain sound” and she got the worst producers to slam their hands on the keyboard and mix it with vocals leftover from unreleased songs. Completely different than her albums that might have ONE skip but the rest are all iconic. I just beg that she never release another thing under Interscope or with Mirwais or Pharrell.
