I wonder if Kevin recorded for this game or Wonder first. His Mario sounds a little rougher here than in Wonder, so maybe they used Warioware as his first game to help him test out his range?

I think part of it is that he's not simply recording for a new game in this context: he's trying to mimic an old game with iconic delivery.

@MizunoKetsuban yeah, I think it was always going to sound a bit off trying to recreate the voice for a game that already used another games voice from 8 years prior

@@MizunoKetsuban Yeah I'm not sure what they were going for with replacing Charles's voice in that one Modern Mario games can slide a little easier, but trying replace SM64's iconic set of voicelines is immediately obvious

9-volt's stage takes place in a Spooky abandoned game shop and the boss micro-game is based off Mario 64 DS... Why am I getting Vietnam flashbacks to that one Vinesauce video where Vinny played a certain game based off of Mario 64?

I say next game, all 3 volts need their own stage, similar to how they did in gold, however 13 amp is the one that introduces nintendo’s 2nd and third party peeps they work closely with. here would be where they’d bring games like kirby, 1080, pokemon and others to the lineup with the ok.

Its interesting to see more modern games including switch games in here, cause I think 9-volts stages were perfect for the gba and ds era wariowares cause they didnt require high graphic fidelity but now that the switch is a main console, they can just throw in modern fire emblem no problem

The three versions of slide has different consoles: - Peach's Castle: GBA - Cool Cool Mountain: Wii - Tall Tall Mountain: DS

I think the retro thing is kind of tired by now, but to be fair I'd like these stages better if they didn't have to reuse mostly the same 30 games every time.
