I always come here to celebrate every time something good happens in my life. My late brother used to play this song every time something good happened. It’s my tradition now 🥹🥹🥹
I remember losing my father in the middle of my grade 12 year, 2014, feeling hopeless because my biggest cheer person suddenly passed. Looking back 9 years later I forgot this was one of the songs that pushed me through that final exams! I've been a teacher for 3 years already 😅😇 THANK YOU MR. FORBES. YOU AWOKE THAT HUNGER!
I remember listening to this song religiously during the most difficult time of my life. Hit rock bottom, it helped me visualize being on top. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Rest easy 🕊
This song really sealed the deal and put him on a completely different level to everyone else in hip hop...nobody in SA can do this. He is now seriously competing on an international level. Maybe not with numbers, like sales and stuff, but with pure quality of music......untouchable in his genre while almost creating a new one.
I played this song when I bought my 1st house, 😢, AKA had a song for every mood, took me through varsity this guy, Rest easy Abuti, I’m in tears yoh guys, I can’t believe he is gone 😢
A song that brought tears of joy will now bring tears of pain. Rest in peace legend. Thank you for giving us your gift, thank you for being brave enough to pursue your passion. Thank you for your music. 🕊
This is the song that converted me to an AKA fan. The slick production, impeccable engineering, and glaring self-confidence really make it stand out!Thank you so much for giving us this gem, Kiernan. #RIPMega
"Do you see what it took, is it clearer"? 🕊️😭❤️💔. Sadly we appreciate them when they're gone. I loved your music man. South Africa and African Hip hop as a whole lost a titan, a force, it's biggest cheerleader and strongest soldier.
As painful as it is we do appreciate dem Wen dey are gone😥...so sad dat he's gonna b given his flowers nw he's no more... anyways let's cheer up live our lifes n reminisce on his legendary legacy...much love from 🇳🇬❤️
I've always rated AKA's abilities and skill set as an MC but he's turned himself into a legit musician. Well done son! your deserve all the success in the world...keep going !
2014, 10th grade. I had just seen this video for the first time on Channel O. As soon as it was done I went to the barber and requested the exact same haircut with my beard shaped the exact same way. He persona was always so intriguing. You changed my life Kiernan. I can't believe I'm typing this rn. Can't believe you're gone. I'll never hear new AKA music again 💔💔 I'm trying to be strong but it just hurts so bad 😭😭😭 rest easy king. Long live Supa Mega ❤️❤️❤️
Man this song and "All Eyez On Me" was my introduction to AKA in 2014. I was in Nigeria for the summer glued to MTV Base, Channel O and Trace Urban on DsTV. I had no knowledge about the South African rap scene at all so I was intrigued. I've been listening to AKA and others since then. Can't believe we gotta say goodbye.
I think we both have almost similar way in which we discovered AKA songs (through music TVs on DSTV). I discovered AKA through Sound City music TV with the song Jealousy. I don't know if you have listened to it. You also brought back sweet memories with this comment. I was in high school in SS2 when I watched this video for the first time then on Trace. This video clocked ten on YT today. RIP, AKA.
First of all I'd like to say CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 to all who've been through the most and finally made it!! You're definitely our inspiration!!💥 I'm gonna come back and congratulate myself too in few months, watch the space.😎
I am playing this song at work( junior software developer) God has pulled me through.. One day I will as Senior developer... one day I will my own company
Man I used to watch this video n dance n sing along n be in a great mood... Now I watch it with a lump in my throat. God is good n the devil is evil. #RIPAKA
