Thanks Joel, that’s lovely feedback! Well, I reckon Force might get a refresh soon, hopefully with expanded probability / generative abilities, which would make it a more interesting modular companion. So you might get drawn in yet!

Yes that would be awesome, even just being able to easily change the time division while playing would be handy!

And most importantly being able to leave arp held on a channel and then go to another channel and play that with an arp.

@@gushingcloud303 or being able to send midi notes from one channel to the arp of another (without having to do a midi-feedback loop).

Have you watched my ‘first hour with the Force’ video? It might help you get up to speed. Also in the preferences there is a setting which allows you to change what shows up on the splash screen when you start the Force. There’s an option to display you most recent projects so you can jump straight into them.

Thank you! That’s a really good question, the arp has a ‘hold’ control but thus far I haven’t tried to map it to a macro. I’ll give it a try tomorrow, that could be really handy. Thanks for the inspiration!

That’s a good question! I think most of the things they have added are either extensions of existing features (touch fx etc) or would be a bit advanced (probability / LFOs etc) to be in a complete beginner video. If they make any big changes to the fundamental workflow or the arranger I would do a version 2.0 of that tutorial. I reckon a pretty hefty update will come at some point soon-ish so that might be the time!

Nope, no edits. That scene was twice the length of the others and I triggered the next one quite late so it just looks like a short loop changing quickly, if that makes sense.

Well on the main vocal line it’s not a reverb, it’s the vocal doubler effect, think it’s the Tight BV preset with the spread and voices both at max. That gives a pseudo reverb that sounds quite nice. For the synths, I always turn off their built-in reverb and use the Air Reverb plug-in. The init patch with the mix right down and the early reflections tweaked until the sound sits in the right ‘space’. If the mix is above 10-15% it starts to get that horrible oil drum sound, so I keep the mix below that and if I need a bit more depth, combine the reverb with a little bit of delay or chorus. It’s worth trying the diffusion delay as well, that can sound a bit nicer than the reverbs sometimes.

Go into preferences and switch off auto warp and see if that helps. Sometimes it tries to warp audio clips that are already the right tempo and that can cause things to drift.
