@@retrodeck1956 I got my 740D all cleaned up and lubricated but I found that the pinch rollers are cracked and hardened so I will have to get the repaired. ☹️
The left tape guide on my Akai GXC 740D is putting pressure on the pinch roller by resting on it. Can the left tape guide be adjusted so that it is not sitting on the pinch roller?
Hello. This cannot be changed. I think there is such a problem because the diameter of the pinch roller is larger. Replace the roller with a smaller one.
@@retrodeck1956 It had the original pinch roller and it also was putting pressure on the old one and it does the same thing on the new one. That is why i was thinking that maybe the left tape guide can be adjusted? but you say it does not have adjustment?
