Bro I've been playing under night and blazblue for a while and finally tried this game out yesterday. It was a nice experience

I felt like he didn't belong in under night so I looked for this game

I managed to come across a cabinet of this at a local convention. It was like love at first sight, when I found out Akatsuki was in under night, I bought it immediately. This series deserves more love!!

There is a PC port of the arcade version of development and if your PC can do NAOMI emulation there is now a version of Flycast with GGPO so the game has great online now

it’s been announced for a while, you’re a bit late to the party but that doesn’t matter, it’s still a new game. shame it’s region locked (excluding Round 1 arcades) but anything is better than nothing

Subtle is working on an update ton En-Eins, but they continue doing it for arcades only. Very frustrating as a foreign fan, because there is no “legal” way to play this franchise.

This game has such a unique vibe with all those other buried arc sys type gems

The arcade version of ABKAA is available in certain Round 1 arcades

I'm worried it'll be difficult to port, not because of anything technical, but because of the game content. The wwii themes aren't bad and it doesn't glorify the bad parts but you KNOW there's gonna be people trying to bring this game down just because of its themes. Just don't let twitter find out about it lol

the guy who uploaded the tracks (which was meruledaworld iirc) got his channel taken down. he's got a new one, but it seems that he, at least now, didn't bother reuploading this in his new channel. EDIT: forgot to add but now his channel's back and several songs from akatsuki blitzkampf were reuploaded, including this one

uhh tl;dr in a alternate take of wwii using german, japanese, and chinese elements (iirc?) this lone soldier who happens to be the main protagonist decides to destroy this big motor thing said big motor thing is actually a mega-powerful weapon that the other characters plan to use in their own way - the main antagonist, for example, wanted to use said big motor thing to become a god™ and take over the world® i think i may have some of the details played wrong it's been ages since i actually touched this game

this is a fighting game and isn't some story-driven adventure game, so obv since there's no story shit excluding the game's arcade mode, there isn't much lore around here

Basically there are blitz motors which have different powers and the protagonist Akatsuki goes on a mission to transport them to japan and destroy them if they fall into the wrong hands i believe. Akatsuki and the submarine the motors are on get frozen, but 50 years later Akatsuki wakes up from his hibernation to continue his original mission. He’s also implanted with the Thunderclap blitz motor.
