I know Steve was being sarcastic about having a gun to protect the toilet paper but beginning of the pandemic that actually seemed somewhat reasonable.
"A razor... for peace of mind"! Brilliant almost subliminal comic writing. I'm glad Al never went that far and slashed his wrists!! What an excellent show!
1:29 This show had quite a bit of foresight, though the bomb hasn't been dropped (yet), the recent pandemic proves a man does need to protect his toilet paper.
@Evi1M4chine Yeah, why not set up a device for collecting rain water, ready for when the bomb goes off. There should be plenty of rain to collect for washing your body and drinking after a nuclear blast.. so I understand..
I love all seasons of MWC, but I think the earlier ones with Steve were better than the ones with Jefferson. Steve and Al were so much more opposites in their life situations, I think the contrast between the two men made for better humor..especially during the times when Steve could see Al's viewpoint and seemed to sympathize with it. I liked Marcy's character better when she was with Steve, too.
The writers for MWC were geniuses and it was a different time back then. There's no way a TV show like MWC could ever get made again, people whine and cry about every little thing these days they think it's real and not make believe comedy. I actually miss those times, people who were not born or to young to know. You really missed out, the world was different and probably never be like that again.
@@DDRUTOU in the 80s before there was a chemical product for everything vinegar was actually a part of beauty products My mom used it fo protect nail polish and mix with some hair products
The GREATEST Al Bundy moment EVER!! I remember this from when I was a kid. This sketch etched itself in my being as something to include in my own customized bathroom. And the notion of having the gun to protect the toilet paper because of potential looting is just prophetic. LMFAO!!!
Did this show do anything for Ferguson sales? I just looked it up and Ferguson actually exists, but im not sure it's the same company referred to here.
I REMWBER WATCHING THIS SHOW WHEN I WAS IN MY TEENS. AND I LOVED AL. HE WAS NOT A TYPICAL FATHER. BUT HE PUT HIS POINT ACROSS. BELIEVE ME. BEING A PARENT TODAY. I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THE SAME THING WITH MY BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL. AND SHE KNOWS IT. AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LETS JUST SAY ALOT MORE PAI8. AND THIS IS MOM TALKING.
Vinegar?? Lol keeps the ph level right in the VA Jay Jay. Keeps it from stinking Proper Hygiene ladies keeps you happy cause your dude appreciates it so much more.
Disagree, strongly. Steve was relatively normal (nice counter-balance to Al's personality)--his deadpan delivery of sarcastic comments in this scene was part of what made it really funny--whereas Jefferson was just a goofball, pretty lame I thought.
they never used a laugh track, it was all filmed infront of a live audience. its also why in certain scene that AL makes "food, his toothpaste sandwich' you can hear the audience really tell him dont do that or no, or just squirm
