Love this programme

Can't believe this is now twenty years old! One of the few good comedies still being made at the time, nearly everything else was getting a bit PC around that time.

I gave it a shot. Love the pub landlord comedy character. Think this show ruined him. Turned him into a pathetic joke of a character that isn't even good for a laugh. Terry wasn't bad. The Aussie bartender did alright. Some of the characters seemed alright actually, but the pub landlord was just absolutely terrible. Should've stuck with the bold, brash, patriotic historian character. Also, the comment I'm seeing below makes it sound like this was made before the comedy character, so perhaps you learned from this travesty and refined your character. I'm done punishing myself with this show. Hope to see more good stand up in the near future.
