I was at this show at the Bottom Line Wow 32 years goes by so fast I saw Al again a few years ago at a Church in NJ You can’t tell the difference between the quality of his live performances 30 years apart
I was at this concert. he was very good live. He announced to the audience before the concert started that a Japanese film crew was taping the performance. The one thing I remember well was at one point Al started to play his next song on acoustic guitar while the person accompanying him, Peter White, swapped out his guitar for an accordion. During the intro when Al started singing with the accordion in the background, he started laughing and and stopped the song. he said the reason why he started laughing was because he remembered someone once reading that someone defined a "gentleman" as someone who knew how to play the accordion , but didn't play it... Fun night. A few nights later Donovan was at the Bottom Line. I went to see him too. Both are legends...
Thank you very much David !! It is a great concert that will always remain in our memory. Of course, I never thought that I was going to enjoy all the videos that you put on because it is simply surprising to see them and enjoy them now, because in my country, (Spain) there was hardly anything about Al Stewart ... except The Year of the Cat Therefore, I value much more even if it fits everything you put on the internet.
